Abstract: A mounting bracket for seatback in-vehicle entertainment including: a base bracket including posts and a hinge mount; a first inner bracket including grooves corresponding to the posts and, when each of the posts is received in its corresponding groove, a first opening for a first headrest post is formed and a second opening for a second headrest post is formed; a second inner bracket including openings corresponding to the posts, a third opening overlapping the first opening and a fourth opening overlapping the second opening; and a cover including fifth and sixth openings and, when the cover is disposed over the second inner bracket, first inner bracket and base bracket, the fifth opening overlaps the third and first openings to permit the first headrest post to pass therethrough and the sixth opening overlaps the fourth and second openings to permit the second headrest post to pass therethrough.
Abstract: A system for home and automobile connectivity, including: a smart home, the smart home including a plurality of internet-of-things (IoT) devices, the IoT devices communicably coupled to a home network; an automobile module, the automobile module connected to a plurality of sensors and a plurality of wired communication paths in a vehicle, the automobile module configured to output sensor data via a plurality of wireless communication paths; and an automobile bridge, the automobile bridge including a plurality of different communication protocols for communicating with different ecosystems in the home network, and a plurality of wireless communication paths for communication with the home network and the automobile module.
Abstract: A device for controlling access to a vehicle, the device including: a housing, the housing including a transmitter, a receiver, a microcontroller and an unlocking mechanism, wherein the housing is configured to be mounted to a vehicle and, in response to a triggering event at the unlocking mechanism, the microcontroller is configured to advertise itself to allow a previously linked remote device to connect and, once a connection is established with the remote device, the transmitter is configured to send an unlock signal to an electronic control unit inside the vehicle to unlock a door of the vehicle.
