Patent number: 11389604Abstract: A gas flow indicator device has a housing defining a chamber. An annular indicator extends over the chamber enabling gas to enter along a bore and is spaced from an inner surface, defining an annular space. A moveable concealment member has an annular skirt receivable into the annular space so one end provides a seal against an annular surface at an end wall while a transverse wall at the other end defines an opening providing resistance to gas flow. The skirt can be held in sealing engagement at the annular surface to conceal the indicator through a window. Increasing gas flow rate overcomes the bias of a biasing member and moves the concealment member to expose the indicator and provide a visual indication of gas flow. A fitting member has an engagement portion operable to constrain the biasing member to preclude vibrations and/or prevent its full compression.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2018Date of Patent: July 19, 2022Assignee: VPAS Group Pty LtdInventors: Matthew Matusik, Mirko Tappero

Publication number: 20190269875Abstract: A gas-flow indicator has an elongate housing defining a gas flow chamber between first and second ends, with an annular indicator within the chamber from the first end over part of the length enabling gas to pass along a bore through the indicator. The indicator is spaced from a sidewall of the housing, defining an annular space. A concealment member is movable from the first end by gas flow through the chamber, against a biasing towards the first end and has a skirt receivable into the space to seal at the first end, while the other end of the concealment member defines an opening resisting gas flow. The skirt is hold-able to conceal the indicator at a housing window. Increasing gas flow achieves pressure to overcome the bias, and the concealment member moves towards the second end, exposing the indicator member through the window, to indicate gas flow.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2019Publication date: September 5, 2019Applicant: VPAS Group Pty LtdInventor: Matthew Matusik

Patent number: 10314988Abstract: A gas flow indicator apparatus (10) comprising: a gas flow chamber including at least one transparent portion (30) and at least one opaque portion (36); at least one inlet port (34); at least one outlet port (32); and, at least one gas flow signal means (18) movably disposed within the gas flow chamber. The gas flow indicator apparatus (10) being configured such that when no gas flow is present and/or when a predetermined gas flow rate has not been achieved, the signal means (18) is disposed substantially within one of the transparent portion (30) or the opaque portion (36), and wherein when gas flow is present and/or the predetermined gas flow rate has been achieved, the signal means (18) is moved to be disposed substantially within the other of the transparent portion (30) or the opaque portion (36). Gas delivery devices (12), systems (12) and/or conduits (16) incorporating the gas flow indicator apparatus (10) are also provided in accordance with the invention.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2013Date of Patent: June 11, 2019Assignee: VPAS Group Pty LtdInventor: Matthew Matusik

Publication number: 20180188094Abstract: A gas flow indicator device (10) has an elongate housing (12) defining a chamber (20) enabling gas flow from an inlet (22) at a first end (16) to an outlet (24) at a second end (18). An indicator member (26) within the chamber (20) extends from adjacent the first end (16) over part of the length of the chamber (20) and is of annular form enabling gas to enter the chamber along a bore (28) through the indicator member (26). The indicator member (26) is spaced from an inner surface (30) of a peripheral sidewall (14) of the housing (12) to define an annular space (32) within the chamber (20). A concealment member (34) is movable from the first end (16) by a sufficient pressure generated by gas flow through the chamber (20), against a biasing member (36) acting to bias the concealment member (34) to the first end (16).Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2016Publication date: July 5, 2018Applicant: VPAS Group Pty LtdInventor: Matthew Matusik
