Abstract: This application discloses a cable article comprising a conductor that is at least partially insulated with a flexible composition comprising low density polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride polymer ingredients and an effective amount of an interdispersing agent selected from the group consisting of fibrous polytetrafluoroethylene and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene.
Abstract: This application discloses flexible homogenous and smooth compositions whch consists essentially of an interdispersion of low density polyethylene and polychloroprene ingredients and at least an effective amount of fibrous polytetrafluoroethylene interdispersing agent effective to homogeneously blend said ingredients.
Abstract: A composition suitable as an electrical conductor insulation is provided which is composed of an ethylene-containing polymer, a halogenated flame retardant, an antimony compound, a lead compound, a peroxide curing agent and optionally a phenolic antioxidant and a zinc salt.

Abstract: Polyolefin compounds having improved resistance to oxidation and heat aging attributable to the incorporation therein of the combination of a zinc salt of a mercaptoimidazole with a sterically hindered phenol, a method of enhancing oxidation resistance and heat aging stability by means of the incorporation of the combination in polyolefins, an electrical conductor insulated therewith and method of forming.
Abstract: Polyblend interdispersions of two or more different polymers formed at least partially in the presence of an interdispersing aid which can be polytetrafluoroethylene or ultra high molecular weight polyethylene; said blend can be chemically cross-linked with peroxides.
Abstract: Very high levels of insulation resistance and of insulation resistance stability of insulating compositions having polyolefin bases and having polar organic additives are achieved in this invention. The polar organic additives can be organic halogenated flame retardants, such as decabromodiphenyl oxide. The surprising increase in insulation resistance and in insulation resistance stability is achieved by addition of certain antioxidants in combination and, particularly, the addition of a zinc salt of mercaptoimidazole and a sterically hindered ditertiary butyl phenol. The composition may be crosslinked by radiation or even by chemical means as through use or organic peroxides without loss of the surprisingly increased insulation resistance and insulation resistance stability.
