An activation signal is sent from a user's computer equipment via a short-range wireless connection. The activation signal is received by embedded computer equipment of a plurality of fleet vehicles. A computerized logic process leads to an election of at least one of the vehicles. The process is based on an analysis of the fuel level and/or the electrical charging level of the fleet vehicles, or on an analysis of the intensity with which the activation signal has been received. The elected vehicle is identified by transmitting its location and/or identification data, which transmission is done via a short-range wireless connection in the parking area.
