  • Patent number: 5788015
Abstract: An industrial truck having a lift mast and a man-carrying platform with a driver's console and a load carrying device are mounted on the lift mast for vertical movement. Control elements and a folding driver's seat are located on the man-carrying platform in the vicinity of the driver's console. The seat portion and the backrest of the driver's seat are arranged so that when the seat is folded up they form a rest member against which the driver can lean when in the standing position. The control elements are located in the vicinity of the driver's seat for ready accessibility by the driver.

  • Patent number: 5678659
Abstract: An order picking truck, in particular a high-lift order picking truck, is equipped with a driver's stand (3), a load-picking fork (5) and a wall (11) separating the driver's stand (3) from the load area. The fork (5) is secured on an initial lift device (7, 8, 9, 10) so that it can be moved up and down relative to the driver's stand (3). According to the invention, an additional lift device (17, 18, 20) is provided with which a load on the fork can be raised beyond the highest position of the initial lift device. The fork has two-part fork tines (12, 13) which each have a load picking upper part (13) and a lower part (12) secured to the initial lift device. Each two-part fork tine includes a scissor construction (19) guiding the upper part (13) of the tine parallel with the lower part (12) of the tine.

  • Patent number: 5599155
Abstract: An attachment for industrial trucks, especially lift trucks, is designed as a multi-articulated lever mechanism (11), preferably as a three-hinge arm. This is articulated to a support plate (1), which can be locked and/or fixed in a bracket of the industrial truck. The lever arms (5, 6, 7) of the lever mechanism (11) are rotatable in relation to one another in articulated axles (3, 8, 10), and can be driven, individually and/or in a simultaneous movement, at least in the horizontal direction by mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical devices. A load pickup device (12), which can be used preferably as a pivoting retractable fork, is arranged at the last, freely hanging lever arm (7). At least one of the lever arms (5 or 6 or 7) is adjustable in height along its articulated axle (3 or 8 or 10).

  • Patent number: 5361644
Abstract: A control panel (24) of an industrial truck is provided, on two sides, with combination control grips (2a, 2b), which can both be rotated in the circumferential direction and deflected vertically, and on which control levers (45a, 45b) are arranged. Signal transmitters (51, 52), which can be operated by the fingers, and by means of which various types of movements of an internal load pickup means of the truck can be selected and can be preset as a set value for the control lever (45) of the respective opposite combination control grip (2), are integrated within the control levers (45a, 45b).

  • Patent number: 5219036
Abstract: A navigation system for guiding unmanned vehicles with any desired wheel configuration without guide wire for free movement on paths and along curves along a virtual reference path having at least one straight and/or curved section. Discrete elements are floor-installed which are in operative connection with a vehicle internal path control device via the vehicle's internal sensory analysis system for correcting the course of the industrial truck. The discrete elements are arranged at spaced locations exclusively along the area of the reference path forming a linear formation chain as navigation reference points P. The distance between the reference points P are either regular or irregular and may be relatively great distances equal to a multiple of the wheel base of the vehicle. The on-board sensory analysis system exclusively determines the distances and measures the distance between the longitudinal axis of the industrial truck and the navigation reference point P.
