A terminal can receive a request associated with a physical object. The terminal can be communicatively coupled to a cloud computing system. The terminal can attempt to transmit the request to the cloud computing system. A router communicatively coupled to the controller and cloud computing system can attempt to initiate communication between the terminal and the cloud computing system in response to the terminal attempt to transmit the request to the cloud computing system. The router can route the request to the controller in response to failing to initiate communication between the terminal and the cloud computing system after specified amount of time. The controller can switch from an inactive state to an active state in response to receiving the request.

Abstract: Examples provide a system and method for managing non-notifying customer orders for pickup. An order manager component identifies orders received from customers that typically do not provide advance notification prior to arrival at an order pickup location. A prioritization component assigns a priority to each order based on a per-customer confidence level. Customers providing notification and new customers receive the highest priority. Non-notifying customers having consistent pickup times associated with a threshold minimum number of previous orders receive a second highest priority. Non-notifying customers having inconsistent pickup arrival times and/or fewer than the threshold number of previous orders receive lower priority. A routing schedule is generated for pre-staging the orders based on the assigned priorities, pre-staging area capacity, and/or bot capacity. Totes are moved to the prestaging area based on instructions provided in the routing schedule.

A slot-to-slot capacity variance of greater than a smoothing threshold are identified and smoothed. Abstract: This application relates to systems and methods for automatically detecting and correcting image quality based on a set of quality standards. In some examples, a plurality of quality parameters of an image are determined based on receiving an image. It is then determined that at least one of the plurality of quality parameters is below a predetermined threshold. The predetermined threshold may be based on a required quality standard for images. In response to determining that the at least one of the plurality of quality parameters is below the predetermined threshold, feature of the image is adjusted such that the at least one of the plurality of quality parameters is at or above the predetermined threshold.

Abstract: An automated order fulfillment system is disclosed having different temperature zones and robots and containers capable of and/or configured to work in these different temperature zones. Containers include insulated wall panels and a thermal insert which may be chilled to maintain a temperature within the container below ambient temperature. Structure within a storage location for the containers may be used to open and close the containers to facilitate cooling of the thermal insert.

An example method includes receiving, at a computing device, store layout data of a retail store and product data. The product data identifies at least one product and a price of the product. The method causes an optical emitter to emit an optical signal to at least one electronic shelf label based at least in part on the store layout data, the product data, and a predetermined rule. The optical signal bears the product data and is configured to cause the electronic shelf label to change displayable information to reflect new product data. The electronic shelf label can also send feedback to the optical emitter to inform that the optical signal was successfully received.

A system identifies locations of interest based on a location of a mobile device and acquires item-descriptive and item-property data associated with an item at the location of interest. The system connects to a secure network to identify a corresponding item and retrieve corresponding item-property data associated with the corresponding item from a secure item database server. The system determines a difference between the corresponding item-property data and the item-property data and updates the secure item database server based on the difference.

A graphical interface enables a worker associated with a facility to input information regarding an ongoing/impending emergency event, e.g., Active Threat, Acts of Violence, Fire/Explosion, Injury, Power Failure, Missing Child, Severe Weather, Robbery, Hazmat, Bomb Threat, Covid-19, Store Closure, Special Events etc. This information is processed via an analytical engine that evaluates the entered information in view of various business rules in order to identify the appropriate workers to notify, and generates and transmits the notifications to the employees determined to be suitable for receiving a notification. In response to the generation of the emergency notification, an incident report engine evaluates the entered emergency, and automatically generates an incident report, which may be later accessed and/or modified by workers having a suitable employee access level.
