Abstract: LED related lighting methods and apparatus are described. Various features relate to water tight light fixtures. Some of the fixtures are flood lights. The light fixtures in at least some embodiments include power control features. In flood light embodiments beam angle and power or light output distribution can be controlled without opening the light assembly or compromising the water tight seals which also protect against dirt. The light fixtures also support tilt angle adjustments and light fixture head adjustments. Beam distribution pattern can also be changed in some embodiments as well as power control. Beam distribution pattern, power control and tilt angle adjustments are supported in some embodiments but need not be supported in all embodiments with some embodiments using one or more of the described features but not all features.

Abstract: Apparatus for controlling fan system operation including one or more fan devices that include a DC fan motor and circuitry for powering and controlling the DC fan motor so that it provides smooth operation without being off kilter in time or speed when multiple fan devices powered from the same AC power supply line are started concurrently. An exemplary system includes one or more fan devices including a DC fan motor, an AC power interface circuit that provides AC filter power to a DC power supply circuit that provides power to the DC fan motor. The AC power interface circuit including: AC signal and ground input connections, an AC filtering circuit, and AC signal output connections. The DC fan motor may be brushless without an optical sensor and the AC filtering circuit may include: a varistor, a common mode choke, an X capacitor, and two Y capacitors.

Abstract: LED lighting apparatus defining a longitudinal axis and including a lens, an element holder for holding the lens and having at least one guide pin, a fixture body for receiving the element holder and having at least a first plurality of slots extending transverse the longitudinal axis of the apparatus. The guide pin is received in at least one of the slots corresponding to a first beam angle of the lens, the element holder being configured to be selectively movable to one of the plurality of slots for selecting a projection beam angle of the LED lighting apparatus. A second plurality of slots is provided extending along the longitudinal axis and connecting the horizontal slots, such that the guide pin is repositioned from one of the first slots to another of the first slots by traveling along one of the second plurality of slots.

Abstract: The present invention relates to LED related lighting methods and apparatus. An exemplary light assembly in accordance with the invention includes a first reflector, an LED downlight for emitting light in a downward direction through a cavity formed by the first reflector, and an LED uplight for emitting light in an upward direction, the first reflector being positioned above the LED uplight. In some embodiments, the light assembly also includes a second reflector positioned below said first reflector, said second reflector having a larger diameter than said first reflector. In some embodiments, the light assembly also includes a diffuser ring positioned above said LED up light for diffusing light emitted from said LED up light as it travels up towards reflective surfaces of said first and second reflectors. In some embodiments, the LED up light is a ring shaped assembly positioned inside a bottom portion of said second reflector.
