    Abstract: Disclosed is a self-adhesive sheet of vibration damping and sound insulating material composed of a vinyl acetate homopolymer material together with a filler, a plasticiser, and a mineral filler in an amount up to 80% by weight wherein the composition comprises not more than 20% micaceous material by weight. The sheet is produced by a continuous process wherein mixing occurs at 170.degree. C. to 190.degree. C. and the continuous sheet is formed at 60.degree. C. to 120.degree. C.
