Patents Assigned to WARNERMEDIA DIRECT, LLC
  • Patent number: 12294488
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards configuring a client device with client configuration data based on client context data. The configuration data can include endpoints of various services to which the client can connect that are appropriate for the client device based on the client context data, along with dimension information (route key values) for connecting to each such service. For example, a roaming client device can be given an endpoint and dimension information to connect to a content service in the roaming region, with a different endpoint and dimension information for communicating user information to a home region to which the user is affiliated. This facilitates single hop/reduced latency for content requests, and compliance with home regulations via a single hop to the home service.

  • Patent number: 12284118
Abstract: A content distribution and optimization system that receives a plurality of event traffic bursts, generated by a first client computing device, in a first pod from a partition of a messaging bus. Messaging bus is partitioned based on a device identifier (ID) of the first client computing device and comprises a plurality of application launch timestamps. A filtering rule is configured for the device ID of the first client computing device for checking a rate limit of each event traffic burst. First set of event traffic bursts is blocked based on number of events exceeding a threshold value of rate limit of an event traffic burst generated by the first client computing device until a new fixed window is assigned. Event traffic communicated to a metrics aggregation controller is limited to pre-defined rate for the first client computing device. Enrichment of remaining second set of event traffic bursts is performed.

  • Patent number: 11968429
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards selecting and returning a user interface, such as of a streaming media service, that is based on a child user's age. As a child ages, the child receives a generally more sophisticated user interface, such that a younger child needs only simple interaction to select a desired (for example age-appropriate) content offering, while an older child can use more complex interaction to locate and select a desired content offering. Profile data associated with the user is sent with each request for content, including the request for a user interface, starting with a home page. The age of the user can be determined from the profile data with any request, whereby a user interface can appear to adapt based on user age over time. The profile data can be locked to a device to retain the profile data after a logoff/new login operation.

  • Patent number: 11907202
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards caching session state data on a client device, so that services called by the client device and other services can use the session state data without having to recollect such information from a server or servers that maintain the ground truth values for the session state data. The session state data can be divided into payload datasets based on domains or the like, so that only a relevant part of the session state data need be attached to a given communication, and/or updated when a session variable changes in some way. A payload dataset can be encoded or encrypted so that a service can verify the integrity of the payload dataset before using it, such as for service-to-service communication.

  • Patent number: 11770308
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for user interface deployment that include a server with a cloud application and a client device with a client application. The cloud application is a fully functional application, such as a headless application, and transmits scene graph data including presentation data and behavior data for a first set of user interface elements viewable at the client device in a first operational state. The client application locally renders the first set of user interface elements on a client device display to locally render the portion of the scene graph related to the first operational state. In response to a user input, the client application transmits event or state data to the cloud application and may perform an action associated with the user input while awaiting receipt of updated scene graph data, possibly related to a subsequent operational state, reducing or eliminating the perception of latency.
