Abstract: A truck carrying member for coupling a conventional truck to a skateboard is described. The truck carrying member has comprises with a base plate rotatably coupled a pivoting plate at a pivot. The pivot comprises a bolt that provides an axis of rotation and a biasing member that keep that base plate and pivoting plate centered position. The base plate has a first mounting surface and a first pivoting surface that form a first obtuse angle. The pivot plate has a second mounting surface and a second pivoting surface that form a second obtuse angle that is less than the first obtuse angle. The second mounting surface extends downward from the skateboard when the truck carrying member is attached to a bottom surface of the skateboard. The pivot and biasing member help increase maneuverability of the skateboard by allowing the wheels of the truck to tuck in closer to the deck during turns.
