Abstract: A rotating nozzle for use in whirlpools, spas, baths, pools and the like is disclosed wherein a nozzle comprising a rotating head and integral cylindrical pipe-shaped inlet is mounted directly within a mounting bracket using a ball bearing assembly. Inner and outer ball bearing races on the nozzle inlet and mounting bracket respectively journal the nozzle in the mounting bracket, and the outlets of the nozzle are aligned to dispel water in a manner to impart rotation on the nozzle. The inner and outer races house a set of ball bearings, and a spacer which maintains adequate separation of the ball bearings. The unitary design of the present invention is simpler than the prior art and requires fewer parts, and the reduction in frictional losses translates into a faster rotation and increased massage effect.

Abstract: A discharge jet assembly for spas including a rear wall fitting, an orifice cap closing the rear wall fitting, and a jet body rotatably mounted within the wall fitting. The rear wall fitting includes a cylindrical central cavity and a vertically disposed air orifice opening into the central cavity. A rear portion of the jet body defines a cylindrical mixing chamber fed by a horizontal cylindrical water inlet and by an air inlet channel formed in the outer circumference of the jet body. The air inlet channel is positioned so as to rotate into and out of communication with the air orifice of the rear wall fitting. The jet body further includes structure for interacting with a stop on the orifice cap so as to appropriately limit rotation of the jet body air inlet channel with respect to the air orifice. An arced continuous seal containment groove and integrally mounted seal surrounds the air inlet channel so as to provide an airtight seal between the rear wall fitting and the jet body.

Abstract: A unitarily-molded pillow for mounting in a spa and having a flexible membrane positioned therein and with respect to a water discharge jet by an integrally-molded support structure including an upper collar, a lower rim, and respective side shoulders, the support structure being integrated into a smooth, contoured front surface providing integral neck and head support, with the membrane positioned to provide a pleasing warm neck massage effect and the jet being adjustable via an air valve for user comfort.

Abstract: A portable spa cover having three rigidly molded, interlocking pieces including two mirror image end pieces and a center piece and designed to conform with the contour of the rim of a spa. Each cover piece has an undersurface and outer surface with a plurality of radial support ribs being formed in the undersurface to provide strength and rigidity. Elongated, tapered male and female hinge members are integrally molded as part of the respective end pieces and center piece and permit the cover pieces to be engaged and disengaged from one another when at an angle with respect to one another, while remaining firmly locked together when the pieces all lie horizontally. The horizontal engagement is further facilitated by resilient fingers which extend out from the male projection at intervals along the cover edge and provide a resiliently biased interlocking mechanism.
