Abstract: A breather assembly for a peristaltic pump comprises a breather tube and a cap connected to the breather tube. The cap comprises a sealing portion. One of the breather tube and the cap comprises a guide track and the other of the breather tube and the cap comprises a protrusion. The guide track comprises first and second sections separated by a first formation. The second section is bounded at its distal end by a second formation. The protrusion can pass the first formation when a first force is applied to the cap. The protrusion can pass the second formation when a second force is applied to the cap. When the protrusion is located within the first section, the sealing portion of the cap seals against the breather tube. When the protrusion is located within the second section, the sealing portion of the cap is spaced from the breather tube.

Abstract: An end fitting for a tube housed by a cavity and a method of installing a tube in a cavity are described which use a compression ring that defines a void having an axial extent and a radial extent. The compression ring is compressed between a bracket of the end fitting and a port of the cavity by drawing the bracket axially towards the port. This seals the port and deforms the void defined by the compression ring. The deformation of the void reduces its axial extent and increases its radial extent, thereby compressing the tube against an insert received within the interior of the tube.
Abstract: A peristaltic pump comprising: a housing having a hub; a rotor disposed within the housing and rotatably supported by the hub, the rotor comprising a drive shaft which extends through the hub, the drive shaft configured to engage with an output shaft of a drive unit to form a drive connection; wherein a first misalignment pivot is formed between the rotor and the hub and a second misalignment pivot is formed between the drive shaft and the output shaft of the drive unit.
