Patent number: 8930218Abstract: The medical data analysis system automatically identifies medical information sources which correlate to anomalies identified in a set of patient medical data relating to an identified patient. The system includes a digital library for providing access to a plurality of information sources which relate to interpreting patient medical data and possible diseases associated with the patient medical data. A data characterization module calculates normative variations of a set of patient medical data to identify anomalies. Based upon this statistical analysis, a digital library interface module searches the digital library for information sources relating to the set of patient medical data and interpretations of the identified anomalies. There is also an information access module which provides an authorized user, such as a physician, with access to the information sources returned by the digital library interface module and relating to this set of patient medical data.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2009Date of Patent: January 6, 2015Assignee: WAViInventors: David Oakley, Michael Hickey

Patent number: 8930212Abstract: The Medical Diagnostic Apparatus implements a physician-operated medical data analysis system for assisting a physician in identifying ailments and conditions which correlate to anomalies identified in a set of patient medical data relating to an identified patient. This system includes a plurality of biomarkers which relate to interpreting patient medical data and possible ailments associated with patient medical data. A data characterization module displays biomarkers selected by a physician and a set of patient medical data, collected from and about an identified patient, to compare the set of patient medical data with biomarkers of known ailments to enable the physician to identify an ailment representative of the patient medical data.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2010Date of Patent: January 6, 2015Assignee: WAViInventors: David Oakley, Owen S. Robertson, Ambarish Jash

Publication number: 20110015503Abstract: The EEG Processing Unit comprises a semi-rigid framework which substantially conforms to the Patient's head and supports a set of electrodes in predetermined loci on the Patient's head to ensure proper electrode placement. The EEG Processing Unit includes automated connectivity determination apparatus which can use pressure-sensitive electrode placement ensuring proper contact with Patient's scalp and also automatically verifies electrode placement via measurements of electrode impedance through automated impedance checking. Voltages generated by the electrodes are amplified and filtered before being transmitted to an analysis platform, which can be a Physician's laptop computer system, either wirelessly or via a set of tethering wires. The EEG Processing Unit includes an automatic artifacting capability which identifies when there is sufficient clean data compiled in the testing session. This process automatically eliminates muscle- or other physical-artifact-related voltages.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2010Publication date: January 20, 2011Applicant: WAViInventors: David Joffe, David Oakley

Publication number: 20080012635Abstract: A multiple power mode amplifier provides a low and a high power mode without using switches. This amplifier may be used in radio frequency (RF) applications such as mobile telephones, pagers, portable digital assistants, and wireless e-mail devices. In the low power mode, the power consumption of the amplifier is reduced, which will increase operation time, especially important for battery-operated devices. In one implementation, the amplifier includes a number of impedance matching network units (130, 140, 150, and 160), impedance transformer (170), and a power stage (120). An implementation provides further power consumption savings by modulating a bias of an amplifier stage.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2007Publication date: January 17, 2008Applicant: Wavies, Inc.Inventors: Junghyun Kim, Daehee Lee, Sanghwa Jung, Youngwoo Kwon, Moon-Seok Jeon
