Abstract: A wireless mobile device is adapted to access a wireless network and includes a subscriber identification module (SIM) card slot and a magnetic stripe reader module electrically connected to the SIM card slot and thereby to the wireless mobile phone. The magnetic stripe reader module is adapted to receive and read information stored in a magnetic stripe and transmit this information to an entity through the wireless mobile device and the wireless network. The wireless mobile device of this invention is used to conduct financial transactions using a payment card comprising a magnetic stripe. The financial transactions include face-to-face or remote purchases and payment with the payment card through a financial institution.
Abstract: A system for performing mobile transactions includes a mobile communication device connecting to a server device via a first network. The mobile communication device includes a subscriber identification module (SIM) card slot and a virtual subscriber identification (VSIM) interface connected to the SIM card slot and it provides subscriber identity authentication to the server device via the VSIM interface. The mobile communication device further includes a mobile transaction client application for managing the communication between the mobile communication device and the server device. The mobile transaction client application manages the communication between the mobile device and the server device utilizing the Bearer Independent Protocol as defined in the European Telecommunications Standards Institute document ETSI TS 101 267 (3GPP TS 11.14).

Abstract: A system and a method that utilizes transaction terminals equipped with smart card readers to download and store a batch of multiple prepaid electronic vouchers to a smart card, retrieve and decrypt individual prepaid vouchers from the smart card and print a voucher receipt with a printer in connection with the transaction terminal. The transaction terminals are in connection with a mobile transaction server that acts as a gateway to a prepaid system and routes transactions between transaction terminals and the prepaid system and between transaction terminals. A method for storing a voucher encryption key on a second smart card or hardware security module. The voucher encryption key is utilized to decrypt encrypted vouchers on a voucher repository smart card. The transaction terminals are mobile devices communicating to the mobile transaction server over wireless networks.
