Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel dispenser (1) comprising a hose storage space (2) adapted to accommodate at least one fuel hose (3), an electronic compartment (4) containing a main frame control unit (5), and a hydraulic compartment (6) containing fuel dispensing means (22) for dispensing fuel into a vehicle reservoir. According to the invention, the hydraulic control unit (7) is located inside the hydraulic compartment (6) and is electrically connected to the mainframe control unit (5) by a main electric cable means (17). The invention also relates to a method for handling a fuel dispenser (1).
Abstract: A fuel hose for delivering multiple-grades of fuel is provided and in one embodiment includes a first hose portion having a first length and a first diameter, and a second hose portion having a second length and a second diameter. The first hose portion includes a first fuel line and a second fuel line, and the second hose portion includes a third fuel line. The first fuel line and the second fuel line can be fluidly connected to the third fuel line. In one embodiment, the first diameter of the first hose portion is larger than the second diameter of the second hose portion. The invention further relates to a fuel dispensing unit.
Abstract: An air purge and pressurization system that utilizes a variable speed fan and a feedback loop to optimize system operation is described herein. In one embodiment, such a system can include an enclosed container located in an area classified as hazardous, a controller rated for operation within the hazardous area, and a pressure sensor located within the container and coupled to the controller. The system can also include a variable-speed fan located outside the hazardous area and coupled to the controller. The controller can be configured to monitor air pressure within the container and variably control a speed of the fan to maintain the detected pressure above a minimum value. Accordingly, a required pressure can be maintained while minimizing a volume of air forced into the container.
Abstract: A fuel dispensing unit includes a fuel conduit including an external annular bead and a locking member including inwardly extending resilient tongues. The locking member is configured to retain the fuel conduit in a locked position and to receive the fuel conduit in an open position. The external annular bead of the fuel conduit causes the locking member to move to the open position when the locking member receives the fuel conduit.

Abstract: A dispensing unit having a circulation system for circulating a fluid in the dispensing unit is provided. The circulation system comprises, a circulation circuit, and a mechanism configured to circulate the fluid in the circulation circuit. By circulating the fluid, the fluid is counteracted from crystallizing. A method for circulating a fluid in a dispensing unit is also provided.
Abstract: Devices and methods are provided for handling at least one hose on a fuel dispensing unit. In one embodiment, a device for handling a hose includes a hollow frame element having a first and second outer ends. A first guiding element can be arranged in the frame element, and an elastic element can extend horizontally in the frame element from a first fastening point to a second fastening point. The elastic element can be guided by the first guiding element. The device can also include a first hose guide adjacent to the first end of the frame element for guiding the at least one hose. The first fastening point can be positioned on the first hose guide such that the first hose guide is movable away from the frame element allowing the at least one hose to be pulled from an idle position to an operating position.
