    Abstract: The present invention provides a cooking grate for use within a barbecue grill assembly comprising a cooking chamber and a gas burner positioned in a lower portion of the cooking chamber. The grate has a plurality of elongated members defining a cooking surface and multiple openings. The grate further has a grease control assembly that is cooperatively positioned over a burner flame region to direct and control the flow of grease generated by cooking food on the grate. The grease control assembly has at least one rib group and at least one ledge. The rib group comprises a plurality of ribs, each rib having a first inclined surface and a second inclined surface. The grease control assembly also has an outer ridge and an inner ridge depending from a lower surface of the grate. With these structures, the grate prevents grease and byproducts from draining onto the burner flame region.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a barbecue grill assembly having a cooking chamber with a burner element and a base assembly configured to support the cooking chamber. The grill assembly further includes a support apparatus for a fuel bottle in fluid communication with the burner element. A first support apparatus has an elongated segment that defines a receiver to engage the fuel bottle in an angled position. A second support apparatus has a first member defining a first receiver configured to receive a first-sized fuel container and a second member defining a second receiver configured to receive a second-sized fuel container. The first member is moveable between a first position wherein the first receiver receives a portion of a first-sized fuel container, and a second position wherein the second receiver receives a portion of the second-sized fuel container. A third support apparatus has a first member operably connected to a generally stationary second member.

The invention further provides a frame with pivoting shelves secured to the frame, adapted to move from a use position to a storage position within the grill cooking chamber. The present invention further provides a frame assembly having a lateral slot for receiving and supporting a heat shield positioned below the firebox.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a barbecue grill assembly with a support frame assembly including a left and right frame assembly. These frame assemblies are formed from a front frame member, a rear frame member, and a side member that connects the front and rear frame members. The grill assembly can have a first and a second horizontal member to connect the frame members of the left and right frame assemblies. The barbecue grill assembly further comprises a cooking chamber with a cover hingeably connected to a firebox. The firebox has a pair of opposed end walls with a mounting assembly that engages a limited extent of the front and rear frame members when the cooking chamber is connected to the support frame assembly. The end wall also have extending rails that define a channel configured to house conduit and fuel lines. Preferably, the left and right frame assemblies are pre-welded to facilitate assembly of the barbecue grill assembly.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a barbecue grill cart assembly comprising a barbecue grill assembly having a cooking chamber and a frame assembly. The grill cart assembly further comprises a cart assembly having a first leg assembly and a second leg assembly pivotally connected to an upper frame member. The cart assembly also has a lower frame member pivotally connected to the first leg assembly wherein the lower frame member has having a securing element. The cart assembly is movable between an erect arrangement and a collapsed arrangement. In the erect arrangement, the securing element engages a portion of the second leg assembly and the first and second leg assemblies are positioned transverse to the upper frame member. To move the cart assembly to the collapsed arrangement, the securing element is disengaged from the second leg assembly and inserted through the second leg assembly.
