Abstract: A door assembly is provided having a latch assembly. The latch assembly includes a head portion, a first latch housing, a second latch housing, a latch hub, and a hub cradle. The latch housings both define a respective opening. The hub cradle defines a recess offset from a center of the hub cradle. The hub cradle is positioned between the latch housings, and the latch hub is positioned in the hub cradle so that it is aligned with the recess. The hub cradle is configured to be received in the openings of the latch housings to provide a latch assembly having a short backset panel configuration or a long backset panel configuration. A distance from the head portion to the latch hub in the long backset panel configuration is larger than a distance from the head portion to the latch hub in the short backset panel configuration.

Abstract: An intelligent door lock system that permits both electronic and manual control of a deadbolt. The door lock system can include an inner bezel assembly, an outer bezel assembly, and a deadbolt assembly, where the deadbolt assembly can be coupled to the outer bezel assembly via a twist-lock feature. The inner bezel assembly also includes a puck assembly that seats within an inner bezel. The puck assembly can be retained within or released from the inner bezel via a latch assembly. The outer bezel assembly includes a display assembly that seats within an outer bezel. The outer bezel is coupled to a motor chassis assembly that includes a motor and gear assembly having a series of gears that translate movement of dial elements or a motor into movement of a bolt element between locked and unlocked positions.

Abstract: A door lock assembly for use with a door comprising a movable locking assembly disposed within a recess formed in an edge of a door panel having one or more movable wedge shaped locking elements disposable between a locked position and an unlocked position and having first teeth associated therewith, and a frame member having a channel and second teeth associated therewith, wherein when assembled the locking element is disposed substantially within the channel formed in the frame element when disposed in the locked position, and wherein one or more the first teeth of the locking element are adapted to selectively engage with one or more of the second teeth when a force is applied to the door.
