Abstract: The present invention provides a continuous shelf storage unit comprising a shelf, an inclined rail track on which non-driven wheeled carriages can move, with auxiliary equipment for the loading and unloading of the shelf, the rail track having a slight incline for causing a deceleration of wheeled carriages coasting thereon, and momentum-imparting apparatus acting on the wheeled carriages and disposed in the track. The momentum imparting apparatus is activated by the auxiliary devices during removal of a carriage from the shelf.

Abstract: A shelf storage system comprises a plurality of shelves on which are supported a plurality of mobile storage and transport units. Each unit comprises a first part consisting of a four sided frame in which rollers are housed with their axes of rotation above the frame and a second part which is adapted for carrying the goods to be stored and is detachably supported on the first part. The second part may be any one of a large variety of forms chosen in dependence upon the goods which are to be stored therein.

Each unit comprises a first part consisting of a four sided frame in which rollers are housed with their axes of rotation above the frame and a second part which is adapted for receiving and carrying the goods to be stored and is detachably supported on the first part. The frame of the first part comprises two profile cross members, each of them being equipped with a first, protruding member extending towards the outside of the frame in a direction parallel to the frame, and with a second protruding member arranged on the opposite side of said first member on said profile member and extending upwardly inclined towards the inside of the frame.
