  • Patent number: 11092273
Abstract: A coupling for transferring fluids is provided, having a housing and a nipple which can be fastened thereto and separated from the housing when a predetermined axial pulling force is exceeded, while overcoming a spring force, and having a fluid duct traversing the housing and the nipple, a housing-side and a nipple-side non-return valve and is routed in a radially guided manner around a vented cylindrical interior of the nipple. A closure mechanism comprises respective valve-side pins and a sleeve arranged between these pins, the sleeve being axially movable in the interior of the nipple and lockable to at least one of the pins by means of spring pressure-mounted locking elements so that, with the nipple fixed, the non-return valves are held open against their spring force, and, with the nipple released, the housing-side non-return valve is completely closed and the nipple-side non-return valve is at least partially closed.

  • Patent number: 6264245
Abstract: A connection adapter designed for gas bottle valves has a clamp-like locking device. An actuating device moves a piston guide bushing axially relative to the locking device to move the bushing into a sealed position in which the bushing bears upon a complimentary shaped connecting element. The actuating device has a threaded sleeve inside which the piston guide bushing is centrally extended, the threaded sleeve and bushing being mounted so that rotation of the threaded sleeve moves the bushing axially without rotating the bushing. A non-rotating, sliding block may be interposed between an end of the bushing and the clamp mounting.

  • Patent number: 6099044
Abstract: The invention relates to a clamping device, in particular for a male coupling, with a substantially cylindrical housing, a clamping member mounted to be axially displaceable therein, and an actuation member which is arranged on the rear end of the housing, linked to the clamping member for axial displacement, pressurized by a compression spring and can be actuated by a hand lever. To increase the axial clamping force while operational force and production costs are kept low, it is provided that the actuation member has a holding bolt arranged centrally on the rear of the housing. A radially expanded stop flange for supporting the compression spring is provided on that end of the holding bolt which is inside the housing, and the hand lever is pivotably mounted on that end of the holding bolt which is outside the housing.

  • Patent number: 6073971
Abstract: A clamping jaw arrangement for a clamp system includes several clamping jaws and a fitting arrangement. The clamping jaws are coupled to an actuating device and located in a radially spreadable manner in a casing around a spreader mandrel. The fitting arrangement is configured for the spreader mandrel and formed as a star-shaped fitting, which is mounted in the casing in a peripheral area of the clamping jaws and at an inner end of the spreader mandrel. The fitting includes at least three spokes, which are radially aligned between two respective clamping jaws.

  • Patent number: 6035894
Abstract: A rapid connection coupling for transferring gaseous and/or liquid fluids includes a tubular housing, an outer sliding sleeve and a plurality of locking elements. The outer sliding sleeve is slidably mounted relative to the housing and the locking elements are attached to the housing and movable radially. The locking elements have an engagement profile for connection to a correspondingly formed connection nipple. A sealing piston is centrally slidable in the housing for engagement on the connection nipple, and a spring-biased ring piston is axially displaceable in the housing. The spring piston holds the sealing piston in a retracted position and is displaceably seated relative to the sealing piston.

  • Patent number: 5957468
Abstract: The invention relates to a collet device, in particular for snap closure attachments for gaseous and/or liquid media which comprises a clamping plunger and a plurality of collets each with a connection end and a bearing end. The bearing ends of the collets are detachably suspended on the clamping plunger and the collets can be displaced axially with the clamping plunger using an actuating member. For simple and rapid replacement and assembly of the collets the invention proposes that the collet arrangement is linked to a fixing member movable in relation to the collet arrangement in order to block the bearing ends positively.

  • Patent number: 5312084
Abstract: The supply fitting for gas cylinder valves, particularly of acetylene cylinders, consists of a housing provided with a supply inlet and a portion for engaging and retaining a gas cylinder vlave, which portion is formed with a supply outlet, a piston sleeve, which is movably mounted and sealed in the housing and displaceable against the force of a spring and comprises a valve member, which is formed with a through passage and is biased by a spring to its sealing position and is adapted to open a supply passage through the housing after the supply fitting has been attached to a gas cylinder valve, and means for holding the piston sleeve in position before and after the supply fitting has been attached to a gas cylinder valve. In a preferred embodiment the means for holding the piston sleeve in position comprise an eccentric actuating mechanism with associated detent means for preventing an inadvertent adjustment.
