    Abstract: A first adapter arrangement includes a housing having a sealing end supporting the housing in a vertical wall opening of a casing containing an electronics device, and a connecting end extending externally of the casing for connection with the housing of a companion adapter arrangement. A pair of resilient generally-annular longitudinally-spaced seal members are mounted concentrically about the adapter housing sealing portion for sealing the space between the adapter housing outer surface and the adjacent surface of the casing wall opening. An electrical connector mounted in a through passage contained in the adapter housing includes a conductor contact end connected with the conductors of the electrical device, and a connector contact end adapted for connection with the corresponding contacts of a companion second adapter arrangement. A fastening device serves to connect together the adjacent ends of the adapter housings of the first and second arrangements.

    Abstract: A compact spring-biased connector includes a housing having a chamber containing a conductive bus bar, a clamping spring normally having an expanded clamping condition for biasing a conductor bare end toward electrical engagement with the bus bar, and a release lever pivotally connected with the housing for displacement from a normally closed clamping position toward an open position, such that a lateral projection on the clamping lever operates the clamping spring toward a compressed open condition, thereby permitting removal of the conductor bare end from the housing chamber. The clamping spring is a compression V-shaped leaf spring having a stationary support leg and a movable clamping leg, with the lateral operating projection extending within the chamber to engage the spring clamping leg adjacent its juncture with the support leg.

    Abstract: A testing arrangement is provided for testing the electrical circuits of an assembly of terminal blocks arranged in side-to-side relation, each of the terminal blocks including two mutually-insulated collinearly-arranged horizontal bus bar sections that are normally electrically connected by first and second pairs of leaf spring contacts arranged above and below the bus bar sections, respectively. During the testing operation, the testing device may be arranged either above or below the assembly, and an insulating test plug on the testing device is inserted either vertically downwardly from above, or upwardly from below, the terminal block, thereby to disengage one pair of contacts. A dummy plug is vertically inserted in the opposite direction to disengage the other pair of contacts. The remote ends of the bus bar sections are provided with clamping devices for connection with the bare ends of insulated conductors, respectively.
