Abstract: Extrusion coating of a removable thermoplastic material onto freshly painted (non-fully cured paint) surfaces has been found to be an effective method for providing protection against damage during handling, and blocking during stacking, enabling handling of the substrate shortly after painting. Furthermore, the extrusion coating allows the paint to dry and cure on porous and non-porous substrates.
