  • Patent number: 9579023
Abstract: A method for obtaining physiological data from a medical sensor device includes detecting a proximity of the medical sensor device by an electronic computing device. After the proximity is detected, a message is received from the medical sensor device. A determination is made as to whether the received message includes configuration information for a wireless communication link. When the received message includes the configuration information for the wireless communication link, the wireless communication link is used to receive physiological data from the medical sensor device and the received physiological data is processed at the electronic computing device. When the received message does not include configuration information for the wireless communication link, a determination is made as to whether the received message includes physiological data. When the received message includes the physiological data, the physiological data is processed at the electronic computing device.

  • Patent number: 9563742
Abstract: An apparatus that can measure images of at least a portion of an eye and record data sets indicative of a neurological condition. A method interrelates an image and a data set to provide an interpretive result. The apparatus and method thereby provide guidance as to the presence of a medical condition in a patient. The apparatus and method can be used in an iterative measurement process, in which the apparatus attempts to discern normal health from a state of health that is not normal health. If the interpretive result is consistent with normal health, the process terminates, information is recorded, and an optional report is given. If the interpretive result is not consistent with normal health, the apparatus and method attempts to distinguish which condition is consistent with the data and images used, and can iterate with additional measurements and information to attempt to provide a useful interpretive result.

  • Patent number: 9503056
Abstract: One apparatus includes a notch filter that has a state observer unit and a parameter adaptation unit. The state observer unit is configured to receive a sampled noisy electrical signal and a sampled filtered electrical signal, the state observer unit having an estimated noise signal output, the estimated noise signal output carrying an estimated noise signal to be subtracted from the sampled noisy electrical signal, resulting in the filtered electrical signal. The parameter adaptation unit is configured to receive the estimated noise signal and an error signal from the state observer unit. The parameter adaptation unit is also configured to determine, based on the estimated noise signal and the error signal, an updated estimated noise frequency, thereby causing the state observer unit to generate an updated estimated noise signal to be provided on the estimated noise signal output.
