  • Patent number: 9500109
Abstract: A system and method include a nozzle configured to inject water into a gas turbine at a specified water flow rate. An effluent stream of the gas turbine includes a gas turbine effluent stream including a first emission level. A secondary emissions control apparatus is in fluid communication with the gas turbine effluent stream. An output stream of the secondary emissions control apparatus can include a second emissions level below a specified emissions output threshold. The method and system can reduce the amount of water over time that is introduced into the gas turbine based on the threshold emissions reduction capability of the secondary emissions control apparatus.
