Abstract: A combination bedside and overbed table apparatus includes a base, a column, a table attached to the column, and a lateral support system including a support arm outrigger support for increasing the lateral stability of the apparatus when the table is extended over the side of the base. The table is movable upon the column through a range of vertical and pivotal motion. The table has three basic positions including a bedside position wherein the table overlies the base, an upper range of positions known as “overbed” positions, in which the table is raised, and a reading position, wherein the table is located at a lower elevation than it is in its bedside position to allow ease of placement of the table over a chair or the like to provide a reading table.

Abstract: A canopy assembly is provided for use over a hospital bed in a health care environment. The canopy assembly includes an elongated housing which is preferably a unitary molded plastic shell. The housing has a straight first end for abutting a wall adjacent a head of the bed and has a rounded second end over the foot of the bed. The housing has a rectangular shaped interior opening disposed therein within which is received a rectangular shaped light box having a backlit translucent scenic panel thereon. The housing includes a semi-circular shaped opening within which is received an air diffuser which is connected to an HVAC system in the ceiling of the room. The housing includes a horseshoe shaped interior panel having a plurality of circular openings defined therein within which are received a plurality of task lights.

Abstract: A pre-fabricated module includes a counter-top having a front access edge, side portions and a rear portion. A sink is disposed in the counter-top. A perimeter wall extends upward from the side and rear portions of the counter-top. A ceiling spans the perimeter wall above the counter-top. The module is preferably constructed as a one piece integrally molded structure.

Abstract: A modular patient healthcare room interior assembly is provided for creating a room in an unfinished space of a building. The interior assembly includes a modular sidewall assembly which includes a plurality of pre-fabricated wall panel segments connected together. Each wall panel segment includes a finished interior wall surface. A divider wall separates the room into a bedroom and a bathroom. A pre-fabricated vanity unit is located in the bathroom. The vanity unit includes a vanity countertop, a vanity wash basin and a vanity perimeter wall. A prefabricated bathing unit is located in the bathroom. A pre-fabricated nurse's station is located in the bedroom.

Abstract: An armoire includes an enclosure having an opening defined therein. A door is located in the opening and is connected to the enclosure by a vertical hinge. A desk panel is mounted in the outside of the door and is connected to the door by a pair of four-bar linkages. The enclosure, the door and the desk panel all have convexly curved exterior surfaces, so that when the door is closed and the desk panel is closed, the convex exterior surfaces are co-extensive.
