Abstract: A method for the manufacture of a profile having a cross-section of different thicknesses from a flat metal strip is provided. In this process, a roller pair produces at least one first recess on at least one side of the metal strip, the recess being widened by following roller pairs with incrementally enlarged recess width to form a region with a reduced material thickness. The aim of the invention is to improve the production process, in particular to avoid the formation of undulations during the production of the profile. For this purpose, the invention provides that regions of the flat metal strip which are arranged adjacent to the at least one recess are bent up before and/or during an engagement of a roller pair.

Abstract: The invention refers to a method for the production of a metal mining plug with grooves applied to the exterior thereof. In order to achieve an easy and simple manufacture of the metal mining plug and to achieve at the same time a long durability of the metal mining plug when being used in rock mass, a metal mining plug is formed of a flat material which is provided with grooves and which is formed to a tube by means of cold rolling.
