    Abstract: The invention relates to the straightening of the lugs of cast anodes, used in the electrolytic refining of metals, prior to immersing the anodes in an electrolytic cell. The method includes straightening of the lugs with both vertical and horizontal compression, and the smoothening of the bottom surface of the anode lug by means of machining.
