    Abstract: A laboratory device to measure horizontal displacement of soil around a region treated by vacuum preloading includes a box injected with dredger fill. A vertical drainage board and a vacuum pumping tube are buried within soil in the treatment region in connection with a vacuum degree detector and a vacuum pump. A seal membrane covers soil in the treatment region. A loading device is above the seal membrane. Transverse tubes are inserted into a side of the box and in surrounding soil of the treatment region. An annular sensing source, which moves together with the soil and which is movable along the transverse tubes, sleeved on the transverse tubes. Each transverse tube is provided with a sensing instrument, and the sensing instrument is connected with a sensor is inserted into the transverse tube. The different positions of the sensing source at different moments of time are determined.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a system for consolidating soft clay by combined anode boosting and electro-osmosis, comprising a vacuum preloading system, wherein the vacuum preloading system comprises anode tubes, cathode tubes, a power supply, a boosting device, sealing cloth and a pumping and drainage device; the sealing cloth is covered above soft clay; air vents are formed on side faces of the cathode tubes and the anode tubes; the cathode tubes and the anode tubes are connected to a boosted pumping and drainage pipe above the soft clay through pipelines; the boosted pumping and drainage pipe is configured with the boosting device and the pumping and drainage device; and, the anode tubes and the cathode tubes are connected to an anode and a cathode of the power supply, respectively. The present invention further provides a method for consolidating soft clay by using the system for consolidating soft clay by combined anode boosting and electro-osmosis.

    Abstract: A novel phakic intraocular lens implantation without viscoelastics and an instrument thereof. The special designed instrument is employed to achieve a purpose of maintaining an anterior chamber only with a perfusion liquid in the surgery, so as to get rid of the influence of the viscoelastics completely. The viscoelastics are not used, so that there is no need to inject the viscoelastics or remove the viscoelastics as in traditional methods, the surgery time is shortened such that total time of surgical procedures from incision construction to incision hydration can be reduced to only 1˜3 minutes, and viscoelastic-related complications, such as postoperative high intraocular pressure and lens opacity, are completely avoided.
