Patent number: 4737061Abstract: A mobile bucket mechanism for collection and conveyance of a bulk material which includes buckets carried by chains over generally vertically arranged sheaves, a support structure for the sheaves which drives the chains to move the buckets in a path to collect bulk material located at a lower end of the path. A feeding device is driven by the support structure to cut into the bulk material and feed the bulk material to the buckets. The feeding device includes a stationary, jacket-like cylindrical body surrounding the path of the buckets and the lower portion of the supporting structure. The cylindrical body has an opening adjacent a portion of the path along which the buckets are carried upward by the chains. A cutting head surrounds the cylindrical body and has essentially radially oriented blades rotatable with respect to the cylindrical body so as to supply the bulk material to the opening.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 1986Date of Patent: April 12, 1988Assignee: PBB Weserhutte AGInventor: Horst Eisold

Patent number: 4473011Abstract: A circulating aerial ropeway for conveying material such as loose or bulk goods has individual cars for conveying the material, each car being pivotally borne between two longitudinal carrying beams for swinging movement about a transverse, substantially horizontal axis which is above the center of gravity of the car, the car thereby being free-hanging and arranged always to assume a substantially horizontal position, each carrying beam mounting running wheels, the ropeway also having at least two laterally-spaced, parallel track ropes, a track rope being on each side of each car so that the running wheels run on the track ropes, and at least two laterally-spaced, parallel hauling ropes, a hauling rope being on each side of each car the cars having jaws for coupling the hauling rope to the car.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1982Date of Patent: September 25, 1984Assignee: PHB Weserhutte AGInventor: Manfred Wuschek

Patent number: 4319677Abstract: This invention relates to stockyard transporter and tripper car equipment which is movable on rail disposed on both sides, comprising portal uprights provided with running gears, a tripper car frame and a boom, which is mounted so that it can be lifted and lowered and/or rotated. Here the stockyard transporter is supported in the tripper car substantially without a counterweight.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 1980Date of Patent: March 16, 1982Assignee: PHB-Weserhutte AGInventor: Hans Kipper

Patent number: 4249651Abstract: An improvement in a double bucket attached at the circumference of a bucket wheel or of a bucket drum for a stockpile reclaimer is disclosed, the double bucket being adapted to revolve in a circular path and effective in picking up material in either direction of rotation of the bucket wheel or bucket drum, and being provided with scraper blades connected to parallel side walls or partition walls of the bucket, and with a bucket backplate pivotally supported at the side walls or partition walls of the bucket by means of a shaft or stub shafts, the bucket backplate being capable of pivoting within the space of the bucket and thus acting in the same manner for both directions of rotation to carry collected stockpile material upwardly either on one face or on the other, depending upon the direction of rotation, the improvement being at least one brake connected on one side of the shaft of the bucket backplate and on the other side to the side wall of the bucket, whereby the bucket backplate is prevented from pivType: GrantFiled: March 5, 1979Date of Patent: February 10, 1981Assignee: Weserhutte AGInventors: Richard Kruckemeier, Uwe Merten, Willi Stahlmann

Patent number: 4206793Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in the process for improving the impregnability of wood which is pierced on its surface prior to an impregnation procedure by means of solid, circular needles which are guided essentially perpendicularly to said wood surface, without thereby causing chipping or splintering, the improvement comprising using sharp, circular needles with smooth surfaces, rotating about their central axes, and at an essentially constant ratio of the peripheral speed (u) of these needles to their speed of advance (v) with which they drive into the wood.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1978Date of Patent: June 10, 1980Assignee: Eisenwerk Weserhutte AGInventor: Thorwald Kipp

Patent number: 4023586Abstract: An electrically-controlled, hydraulically-actuated valve, having an inlet joined to a main outlet through a pressure regulating chamber; a by-pass passage joined to the pressure regulating chamber through a second enlarged chamber coaxial with the first; a valve seat formed at the juncture of the two chambers; a slidable valve, having one end tapered to seat in the valve seat and coaxially passing through the second chamber; a flow restricting viscosity non-influenced orifice in the inlet passage to form a jet of the introduced fluid; a blind hole extending into the body of the valve from the first chamber, directly opposite the discharge end of the inlet passage and coaxial therewith to avoid any jet stream impulse force on the tapered piston; a magnetizable core mounted on the other end of the valve; an annular electrical coil surrounding the core; and a biasing valve mounted in the discharge end of the by-pass passage and spring-biased against the flow of fluid.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1975Date of Patent: May 17, 1977Assignee: Eisenwerk Weserhutte AGInventors: Lothar Nemetz, Klaus Nusse
