The Centerpost platform utilizes a nickname-based routing to enable device specific sending without knowledge of the specific device address. The Centerpost platform provides sender-defined information folios, which enable synthesized filing, viewing and storage of all received SmartMessages, and the platform allows semi-private access control for the user, which allows access by others.

The system utilizes a telecommunications switching apparatus to rout incoming customer contacts to one or more pools of customer service agents. The system provides for a universal customer service interface that allows customer service agents to assist customers of other related companies. The automated system for sharing customer service resources includes a mutual assistance routing system in communication with requesting users of customer service agents, responding providers of customer service agents, databases containing customer information, thereby allowing customers who contact the requesting user to be served by shared agents.

The processing platform may include at least one server that receives an electronic message addressed to the platform, wherein the electronic message includes a routing indicator including at least one user identity and one or more message attributes. A message initiating agency and an administrator create an outbound message for delivery and further selects a number of campaign related parameters. A telecommunications interface module is provided that is capable of detecting the presence of a connected TTY device, and a connected TTY device logging system for recording in a database the occurrences of detection of a TTY devices associated with a particular telecommunications interface, or outbound message contact. The system delivers the campaign message to one or more telecommunications interfaces, delivers a TTY compatible message or a provides notification to said administrator of the detection of a connected TTY device, and records the incidence of failures to deliver the campaign message.
