Patents Assigned to Westfield Retail Solutions, Inc.
  • Publication number: 20180107978
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and method for providing automatic return shipping. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving a purchase request, the purchase request including an identification of a product and a user identifier; generating a return label upon receiving the purchase request; providing the return label to a user; receiving a return item from a user, wherein the return item includes the return label; scanning the return label to determine a merchant identification, wherein the merchant identification includes a location of the merchant; and delivering the return item to the merchant based on the location of the merchant.

  • Publication number: 20180109921
Abstract: Systems and methods to determine a location of a mobile device by combining a radio frequency navigation system and an inertial navigation system, where the radio frequency navigation system determines a location of the mobile device in reference to a map of radio frequency signals and the inertial navigation system based on dead reckoning the position of the mobile device based on measurements from motion sensors. When a set of successive locations determined by the radio frequency navigation system is found to have a predetermined pattern (e.g., within a minimum distance from each other, or separated by more than a maximum distance), the mobile device discards the location results from the radio frequency navigation system for the period of time, in favor of the location results from the inertial navigation system.

  • Publication number: 20180107346
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and devices for presenting map labels. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving map data and location data; retrieving a user profile, the user profile containing a list of locations; generating a plurality of labels, wherein the plurality of labels comprise labels associated with a subset of locations within the list of locations; identifying one or more conflicting labels, wherein the one or more conflicting labels comprise one or more overlapping labels; ranking the one or more labels based on the user profile to generate a ranked label subset, wherein labels in the ranked label subset comprise non-overlapping labels; and displaying the map data and the ranked label subset.

  • Publication number: 20180109910
Abstract: Systems and methods to determine a location of a mobile device by combining a radio frequency navigation system and an inertial navigation system, where the radio frequency navigation system determines a location of the mobile device in reference to a map of radio frequency signals and the inertial navigation system based on dead reckoning the position of the mobile device based on measurements from motion sensors and/or magnetic field sensors. The mobile device combines the position determination results from the radio frequency navigation system and the inertial navigation system to determine two successive locations. A heading of the user of the mobile device is computed from the two successive locations without using the orientation of the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20180033079
Abstract: Systems and methods to predict availability of retail spaces in shopping malls. Robots are dispatched to temporary retail spaces to collect at least a portion of operation data stored in a database with leasing data of temporary retail spaces in a mall, tenant coordination data, and subscriber data. A web-based application predicts availability of the temporary retail spaces in the mall based on the leasing data, the tenant coordination data, and the operation data. The web-based application includes an interactive plan of the mall as a user interface for subscribers to access data related to the temporary retail spaces, and process applications for leasing the temporary retail spaces. A machine learning technique is applied to a dataset of the tenant to derive a predictive model for predicting tenant default in a period of time.

  • Publication number: 20170318422
Abstract: Systems and methods to provide navigational guidance to reach a package located inside a building. Low-energy wireless transmitting devices (e.g., Bluetooth devices) are used to transmit their identifiers. Some of the devices are placed at known locations inside the building; and some of the devices are attached to packages. When a mobile device detects the identifier of a device placed at a known location and the identifier of a device attached to the package, the location of the package is identified and recorded based on the known location of the device. Navigational guidance is provided to a mobile device of a user to reach the package based on the recorded location of the package and/or the location of any of the devices the mobile device can detect within the communication range from the current location of the mobile device.
