Patents Assigned to Westvalley Digital Technologies, Inc.
  • Patent number: 9436858
Abstract: Disclosed are a radio frequency locating system and method, which efficiently solve the problem of precise locating a moving target tag in a complex environment by using a method where location information is provided for a mobile tag by using low-cost fixed active RFID tags in place of a plurality of readers requiring network connection, and the location information of the mobile tag is directly transferred to a reader at the center of a locating area from a long distance by using a mobile or fixed location tag. The present invention uses a long-distance coordinator and clock information in a transmission instruction to coordinate and schedule communication time between the mobile tag and the location tag, thereby ensuring a super long battery life of the mobile tag and the location tag.

  • Patent number: 9405942
Abstract: The present invention provides an active radio frequency identification (RFID) tag and a system and method thereof. The system includes: a coordinator, configured to uninterruptedly and repeatedly transmit a wakeup instruction on a first channel, and a reader/writer, connected to a control processor, and configured to establish communication with the active RFID tag on a second channel after the active RFID tag receives the wakeup instruction, and transmit an action instruction index to the active RFID tag; wherein the active RFID tag comprises: a receiver, configured to receive the wakeup instruction during a time period of an interception state and receive the action instruction index; a processor, configured to store a preset index-action mapping relationship, be waked up according to the wakeup instruction and search out an action instruction corresponding to the action instruction index from the index-action mapping relationship, and execute an operation in response to the action instruction.

  • Patent number: 9070061
Abstract: The present invention provides an active radio frequency identification (RFID) tag and an application system and method thereof. The system includes: a control processor; a coordinator; an active RFID tag, configured to perform an RF feature check first with very little time before spending more time to receive a whole valid data packet during the time period of an interception state; and a reader/writer. Therefore, the power consumption of an active RFID tag is reduced drastically. Further, the present invention also provides an active RFID tag having a plurality of fixed mode actions and the application system and method thereof, thereby improving the communication efficiency of the radio communication system and effectively reducing the probability of signal collision and mutual interference.

  • Patent number: 8242958
Abstract: A system and method for positioning using signal transmit power, SNR of the signal receiving unit, signal receive PER or PLR, and distance relationship between the signal source and receiving unit. The system includes a ranging signal transmitting unit and receiving unit. The transmitting unit continuously transmits a fixed number of ranging signal packets using different transmit powers, and the receiving unit receives the ranging signal packets, collect statistics for the PLR at each transmit power, and calculates the distance between the transmitting unit and itself using the distance relationship. The present invention uses the reference signal source and the method for calculating relative distance to reduce the impact from the noise and environment changes on the positioning, and introduces the critical transmit power to further enhance positioning precision. With the method provided in the present invention, using a common active RFID tag achieves high precision and effective positioning.
