  • Patent number: 9550244
Abstract: There is shown a tool holder for a hob, which is embodied as a bore having a clamping device provided between a spindle and a counterholder, the clamping device having a centring clamping piece that is engageable in the hob and a receiving mandrel that is engageable in the hob, the receiving mandrel being braced with the centring clamping piece in order to mount the hob, wherein the centring clamping piece has a flange. In order to ensure the best concentric running properties in a stable manner, it is proposed that the centring clamping piece and the receiving mandrel each have a flange, which each mount a radial adjusting drive with at least one adjusting member that is adjustable with respect to the spindle and/or the counterholder in order to center the clamping device.

  • Patent number: 9027448
Abstract: The invention relates a method for reducing the eccentricity of the inner and outer surface (7, 9) of a hollow workpiece (i), for example a hollow shaft, rotatably clamped in machine tool (2), in which in one clamping a plurality of measurement data depending on the contour of the inner surface (7) of the hollow workpiece (i) are recorded, for example with the aid of ultrasound, using the recorded measurement data a desired surface (13) is calculated for at least a part of the outer surface (9), which has a reduced eccentricity with respect to the inner surface (7) and in a further step the rotating workpiece (i) is at least partially machined at the outer surface (9) thereof according to the desired surface (13).

  • Patent number: 8577591
Abstract: A method for preventing the collision of an obstacle and a part movable along at least two axes, which axes each have a feeder drive, includes the steps of a minimum stopping distance being determined repeatedly at predetermined time intervals from the relative location and speed data of the moving part as a function of the machine and part data required for this purpose and taking the minimum stopping distance as the basis for the collision calculation. The collision calculation is based on at least one component, from the components of the stopping distance that are related to the individual axes, which component is determined from the speed data retrieved in the individual time intervals and varied by a maximum acceleration of the associated feeder drive at least during the retrieval time interval.

  • Publication number: 20130104706
Abstract: A method for processing an inner face of a housing having an opening, in particular a housing of a driving mechanism, by means of a machine tool, which has a multiaxially movable tool retainer. A tool retained by the tool retainer is introduced through the opening into the housing, which is stationary relative to the machine tool, and the tool is moved along a circular path and in the direction of the housing in order to process the inner face. In order to create advantageous method conditions, the control head of the tool retainer that accommodates the tool is driven in a rotational manner by means of an angle drive on the tool retainer in order to move the tool independently of the axes of motion of the machine tool along a circular path in order to process the inner face.

  • Publication number: 20040194593
Abstract: In a fixture (1) for supporting a workpiece (3) in a machine tool (2) by means of two support elements (14,15) held in a housing (11) and with the workpiece (3) lying on them, the support elements (14,15) are configured as levers (16, 17) held in a rotating mounting in the housing (11), with the levers (16, 17) being driveably connected together by means of a threaded spindle (31). The threaded spindle (31) has counter-rotating thread sections (32, 33) in the areas corresponding to the support elements (14, 15), and each of the counter-rotating thread sections (32, 33) of the spindle (31) engage in a sliding block (37, 38), the sliding blocks (37, 38) being rotatably mounted in holes (36, 37) worked in the support elements (14, 15). In addition, the threaded spindle (31) is provided with a device (51) for locking the support elements (14, 15) in a set operating position.
