Abstract: The invention relates to an optically variable security attribute for documents, securities, bank notes, packaging and goods. The task of the invention is to provide an optically variable security attribute with covert detectable characteristics to improve safety against counterfeiting. In accordance with the invention, the task is accomplished in an optically variable security attribute with diffractive structures consisting of an electrically conductive polymer and at least one support web (1), a protection layer (7), a lacquer layer (3) and a reflection layer (4) by the electrically conductive polymer being polyethylenedioxythiophene polystyrenesulfunate (PEDT/PSS).
Abstract: This invention relates to the structure of safety elements for documents and devices for the testing of test documents including said safety elements as well as procedures of application according to patent application DE 197 18 916.4. It is the object of this invention to complete the structure of safety elements by additional safety elements and to contemplate devices for the testing of said safety elements as well as a new application procedure of safety elements and devices which will make it very difficult, if not even impossible, for the counterfeiter to draw any conclusions from the functioning of the test procdures and devices to the safety elements to be tested and, thus, to produce counterfeits that are so similar to the originals that they are not detected by the test devices. The structure of the safety elements for documents to be tested provides a new design not primarily based on a visual examination but on test procedures.
Abstract: Security strips for identifying the genuineness of sheet material such as documents, securities and banknotes. The security strips are constructed of several different components, encoding means and electrically conductive layers connected in different arrangements on a support substrate. Layers of known per se electrically conductive polymers are being used. The security strips are applied on the sheet material or they are integrated in the sheet material. These security strips constitute insurmountable technological obstacles for a forger.
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, a multi-compact-sensor is provided with a sensor support for receiving different and exchangeable sensors, brackets and supports for assembly into existing and/or new processing machines at a ascending angle, a board which contains the evaluation circuitry and elements for connection with the sensors as well as, depending on intended use and objects to be tested, an exchangeable cover. The combining of a plurality of individual components, the inventive exchangeability of different sensors, the versatility of the possibilities of use and the handling of the sensors and evaluation electronics into a component of compact structure justify calling the inventive device a multi-compact-sensor.
