Abstract: An electronic siren includes a driver unit and a speaker unit which are interconnected by a flexible sound pipe. The sound pipe is acoustically coupled to the driver unit and speaker unit by adaptors which provide a substantially smooth transistion from a driver unit to sound pipe and from sound pipe to speaker whereby attenuation is minimized.
Abstract: A warning light assembly suitable for vehicle roof mounting is built around an I-beam structural member and includes lens elements which engage and are readily positionable on the beam so as to span the flanges at both sides thereof. The light assembly may include lights having a wide angle radiation pattern which are comprised of intersecting linear parabolic reflector sections and flash tubes formed to follow the contour of the intersecting linear focal points, the tubes being supports with their axes coincident with the reflector focal points.
Abstract: A mounting foot assembly for attaching a warning light to the exterior of a vehicle, the warning light including a pair of spaced inwardly facing slots in the base thereof, includes a pair of locking cams which are sized to be received in the slots. The mounting foot assembly also includes means for translating the rotational motion of an adjustment screw about a first axis to rotational motion of the locking cams in opposite directions about a pair of parallel axes whereby the locking cams will be caused to mechanically engage the bottoms of the slots.
Abstract: A valve for directing and controlling the flow of pressurized gas comprises a socket and a spheroidal hollow shell mounted in said socket for swivel motion. The shell interiorly forms a spheroidal socket which receives an axially rotatable valve body. The shell and the valve body respectively have an alignable aperture and gas inlet. The body and shell are rotatable between a closed position and an open position wherein the aperture aligns with the inlet.
