  • Patent number: 11852710
Abstract: Provided is a face-to-face situation determination system in which a first beacon, which is a beacon carried by a first user, transmits a first signal including information identifying the first beacon. A second beacon, which is a beacon carried by a second user, upon receiving the first signal from the first beacon, transmits, toward a control device, a second signal including information identifying the first beacon, a first signal reception intensity, and information identifying the second beacon. The control device receives the second signal and, on the basis of the first signal reception strength included in the second signal, determines that the first user and the second user are facing each other if the first signal reception strength is greater than or equal to a first threshold value for a predetermined period or longer, and determines that the first user and the second user are facing one direction.

  • Patent number: 10849047
Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to control a beacon in a mesh beacon. A system contains a plurality of beacons which are capable of communicating with one another within a prescribed radio wave reaching distance and which transmit and receive prescribed signals, each of the plurality of beacons being disposed within the radio wave reaching distance of at least one other beacon, and a control device capable of communicating with at least one of the plurality of beacons. Each beacon is provided with: a receiving unit for receiving a signal including a setting change instruction sent from the control device; a setting unit for changing the setting value of a prescribed item in the device on the basis of the setting change instruction; and a transmitting unit for transmitting a signal including information based on the setting value changed by the setting means to the control device.

  • Patent number: 7822426
Abstract: In one embodiment, an initial estimated location of a mobile electronic device is determined using a location determination method (LDM). An accuracy for the LDM is determined. An initial set of landmarks is determined based upon the initial estimated location and the determined accuracy. For each landmark in the initial set of landmarks, a likelihood is calculated that the mobile electronic device is located about that landmark. A landmark from the initial set of landmarks is selected based on the likelihoods. The location of the mobile electronic device is set to a known location of the selected landmark.
