  • Patent number: 9021254
Abstract: A security system for defending online users against fraudsters and malicious websites comprises a back-end network server and appropriate apps for each protected user device. An otherwise conventional network server is enhanced with application software instructions for a centralized software-as-a-service (SaaS) to respond to network requests from user devices operating variously under ANDROID-type, APPLE IOS-type, and MICROSOFT WINDOWS-type operating systems. The SaaS investigates, surveys, and watches websites. It calculates confidence scores related to financial fraud and the acceptability and risk to said users of visiting particular websites. It maintains a trusted network database of website URL's calculated to belong to financial websites that can be trusted and present acceptable levels of fraud and financial risk to its visitors. Each user device application provides for secure password management and access via a security browser to websites in the trusted network.

  • Patent number: 8438383
Abstract: An ID vault computer control program detects when a user's browser navigates to a third-party website that requires a user ID and password. If it hasn't done so already, it automatically requests a decryption key for a local encrypted vault file from a network server by supplying a personal identification number (PIN) from the user through the input device, a copy of the GUID, and a signature of GUID using a private key for the root certificate. If a decryption key is returned from the network server, the local encrypted vault file is unlocked and automatically supplies a corresponding user ID and password to log-on to the third-party website without the user.

  • Patent number: 8095967
Abstract: A secure authentication process detects and prevents phishing and pharming attacks for specific web sites. The process is based on a dedicated secure hardware store for user sign-in credentials, a database of information about specific web sites, and a private secure browser. All user web activity is monitored by an agent program. The agent program checks to make sure that user attempts to send any sign-in credentials stored in secure hardware store of user sign-in credentials, to any web site accessed by the user, is allowed only if the IP address of the web site accessed by the user matches at least one of the IP addresses stored web site database associated with the sign-in credential the user is attempting to send. The process also detects mismatches between a URL and the actual IP address of the web site associated with the URL.
