  • Patent number: 6293627
Abstract: A motorized dump-type vehicle is provided having a chassis frame, an engine mounted on said frame, a dump container pivotally mounted on the front of said frame and a hydraulic system enabling said container to be raised and lowered by a hydraulic cylinder and said vehicle to be driven in either forward or reverse directions using its front wheels. Additionally, as needed, the vehicle can be switched into all-wheel-drive by hydraulically driving the vehicle's rear wheel(s) which are by default undriven.

  • Patent number: 5899631
Abstract: A torque applying device for use with a steering mechanism for a riding power trowel, wherein the torque applying device is pivotally attached to a steering lever at the first end, and to the frame of the power trowel at a second end and in longitudinal alignment with the steering lever when the steering lever is in its at-rest position, and capable of arcuate rotation about its second end from a position where its longitudinal axis is in alignment with the steering lever to a position for imparting a torque force to the lever to assist rotation of the lever when the lever is rotated from its at-rest position for purposes of tilting a power trowel gear box.

  • Patent number: 5550333
Abstract: A trailerable engine housing 10 for a heat and noise emitting engine 68 is provided, formed of an open topped container having pyramidally shaped end walls 22, 24, side walls 14, 16, and a base plate 42. The open topped container is divided into two separate enclosures by an enclosure baffle 58. A pair of vent panel 28, 30, are held in angled spaced relationship to the pyramidal side edges of the end walls to form an air induction vent hole open to one enclosure and a hot air exhaust hole open to the other. Inducted air is transferred from one enclosure to the other through an enclosure baffle vent hole. Sonic energy may not pass through either the induction air or the hot air exhaust vent holes without first being reflected off a surface within the engine housing.

  • Patent number: 5489150
Abstract: A motar mixer driven by a hydraulic pump and motor which are powered by an gasoline engine. The mixer frame is configured as a trailer to facilitate transport of the mortar mixer. The trailer frame is further adapted so that the frame members form a fluid reservoir for the hydraulic fluid for the system. A tubular steel frame assembly, is manufactured so that the inner chambers of the frame members are in fluid communication with one another. A reservoir dam is placed inside the horizontal trailer frame member to provide a crush zone for eliminating risk of damage to the reservoir in the event that the weld that secures the front trailer frame member to the horizontal trailer frame member fails or fractures.
