Abstract: A ride feature is disclosed using conjoined bowl structures formed of multiple bowl structures attached to each other. In a two bowl embodiment, the ride vehicle rides about at least a portion of a periphery of a first bowl structure and then about at least a portion of a periphery of a second bowl structure before exiting the ride feature. The ride vehicle may exit the conjoined bowl structure from either the first bowl structure or the second bowl structure. In alternative embodiments, the conjoined bowl feature may be comprised of more than two conjoined bowls, the bowls may be of different diameter, and/or the bowls may have a constantly decreasing or increasing diameter.

Abstract: A play structure having one or more monolith structures for the connection of other surfaces (e.g., deckings, water-based elements, interactive elements, etc.). Each of the monolith structures may be adjustably connected with a ground surface such that a variety of possible angles may be obtained by the monolith whit respect to the ground surface. After the desired orientation of the monolith is obtained to the ground surface via the adjustable connection, the monolith may be secured in such position. Water or fluid may be provided to the monolith structures via piping that interfaces with the monolith structures by a fluid connection that is in communication with piping disposed within the monolith structures. A fluid damping or delivery system (e.g., based upon a tipping element that provides water to a fluid flowing surface and/or other water diversion element) may be provided as part of the play structure.

Abstract: A pool wave generator having a pool area and a plurality of chambers for generating a wave in the pool area. Exemplary embodiments described herein may be used to control the fluid flow within the pool area. For example, exemplary embodiments may include a control system for selecting the position of one or more valves of the chamber in order to control the ingress and egress of water from each chamber, inc. Exemplary embodiments may be used to control the wave generated from the chambers, reduced unwanted turbulence, and/or generated a designed wave based on the individual control of the respective chambers.

Abstract: A water attraction having one or more inflatable areas and/or features for reducing turbulence of water flow over a ride surface is disclosed. The water attraction includes a ride surface, a water delivery section, and a recovery section. The water delivery section provides water flow on the ride surface. The ride surface may include the assembly of multiple segments and may be fully or partially inflatable. The water delivery section may include one or more water delivery mechanisms, for example, nozzles. A water delivery mechanism may deliver a water flow different from the water flows from other water delivery mechanisms.

Abstract: Systems and methods for booking one or more experiences that allows the system to individually manage and customize each user's experience are disclosed. The systems and methods can also be operable to track users at a geographic location or destination and collect data based upon such users and the tracking of such users. The system may be accessible via software applications executed upon mobile devices and/or permanent hardware kiosks and/or via a web-based interface.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) for customizing wave profiles of waves generated by a caissons in a wave pool is disclosed herein. The GUI includes a screen displaying preload settings including a water height profile in one or more caissons among the plurality of caissons. The GUI includes a screen displaying one or more fill settings including a velocity threshold to control a rate at which water is filled into the caissons. The GUI includes a screen displaying one or more push settings including a dampening factor and/or a manual adjustment of intake and/or exhaust valve angles for controlling a descent of water in the one or more caissons. The first screen, the second screen, and the third screen are operable based on the one or more preload settings, the one or more fill settings, and/or the one or more push settings to generate the wave profiles of waves.

Abstract: A play center is described that is formed from multiple interconnected, modular polygonal decking components attached to and receiving water from one or more monopoles. The monopoles contain pressurized water and includes ports for distributing water to various water features distributed around the play center. Monoliths are attached to one or more sides of each of the decking components and are comprised of one or more panels and frame elements. The monoliths are removably connected to the decking components such that each monolith may be removed from one side of the decking and reconnected to another side of the decking, or be replaced with a different monolith. The play center also includes one or more elevated water control stations hidden within a monolith that allow for various adjustments to be made to the output of water to the water features of the play center.

Abstract: A waterslide feature for providing a looping or arcuate travel path for a rider traveling thereon and method for making the same. The waterslide feature may have an entrance, an exit, and a surface (e.g., a ride surface, such as a bottom surface and/or a wall surface) therebetween comprising a transparent and/or semi-transparent surface configured to permit the rider to see through the surface and experience an exterior environment. Spectators or bystanders to the waterslide feature may be able to see through the surface and to witness riders riding upon the waterslide feature. The waterslide feature may be oriented at an angle to horizontal (e.g., tilted) and/or may be positioned within a defined exterior environment contained within an exterior wall. The exterior wall may be configured to retain water such that at least a portion of the waterslide feature is below the height of the water.

Trackable hardware is carried and/or worn or otherwise associated with the users so that the users' movement and activities may be tracked at the geographic location or destination.

Abstract: A waterslide attraction is provided that incorporates at least one waterslide element and at least one storyline element. Riders typically ride in a ride vehicle that may incorporate controls that may provide responses to stimuli presented during the ride. A user's responses to the stimuli are used to alter the storyline presented and may also alter ride characteristics. At the conclusion of the ride, a user is presented with a score.

Abstract: An attraction capable of incorporating user interactivity. The attraction utilizes a slide for supporting a rider, with a ride vehicle or without. The ride vehicle may support one or multiple riders that allows the riders to manipulate its position or other associated elements while on the attraction. Upon manipulating an element, a signal may be transmitted. This signal may aid in determining whether a rider has successfully manipulated the element, for example, at an appropriate time. Sensors along the attraction may also be configured to track the user and/or ride vehicle via determining vicinity of the user and/or ride vehicle at a known location. Various rewards and/or features may be enabled based upon successful manipulation and/or user position. The attraction may include one or more illuminating features. Statistics or other information may be determined, stored, and/or provided (e.g., using mobile applications and/or scoreboards) relating to user performance.

Measuring the power consumed by the fans in real time allows determination of the amount of air to be evacuated from the pneumatic system (and thus an opening angle of the exhaust valves) so that the fans operate at maximum efficiency and with less instability. In an exemplary embodiment, a valve mounted on the fan inlet allows the incoming air flow to be controlled, thereby allow the motors to continue rotating at a given speed with little or no energy consumption when the valve is partially or fully closed.

Abstract: A wave system including an obstacle over which water is pushed to create a wave contoured surface for riding or maneuvering by a user, a reservoir below the riding area, a water outlet, and a water recovery. In some embodiments, the wave system includes a water smoothener separated in communication with, but separated from, the reservoir. In some embodiments, the obstacle is created by a hydraulic jump controlled by a height of the water in the reservoir. In some embodiments, the wave system includes a protection surface positioned such that water entering pumps in the reservoir comes from a lower portion of the reservoir.

Abstract: A surf pool attraction is described that includes a return channel configured to collect and redirect water back into a surf basin of the surf pool attraction. Various embodiments are described that include configurations in which the return channel is covered by grating panels that improve navigability of the surf pool attraction while still allowing water to be collected in the return channel. The return channel can include a peripheral channel portion that extends around a periphery of one side of the surf pool and a central channel portion that connects to and extends from the peripheral channel portion toward a central region of the surf basin.

Abstract: A system for tracking guests and collecting feedback for an entertainment attraction. The system may determine a guest's position and may interact with the guest via user interface provided for example via application on mobile device or kiosk, in order to assess guest satisfaction before, during and after attendance at an entertainment attraction or amusement park. The system may allow for storing the guest feedback and may determine whether to issue a reward to the guest based upon the feedback provided. The system may be positioned proximate to a queue line for an entertainment attraction, and may capture an image of a guest to determine the perceived mood of the guest and thereby determine whether to issue a reward to the guest based upon the perceived mood of the guest. Guest interfaces may allow communication or other data presented between or to guests.
