Patents Assigned to Wickmann-Werke AG
  • Patent number: 4448376
Abstract: A holder (1) with a cylindrical housing (4) for an electrical component is arranged to be secured to a mounting panel of thickness (d) by pushing the housing through an opening in the panel until a flange (3) engages the panel. The housing is surrounded by a clamping collar (6) providing groups of strip springs (8) of different length. The springs are provided with oblique end edges (7) and are twisted outwardly so as to center the holder in the mounting panel opening and to engage the back of the panel around the opening.

  • Patent number: 4411486
Abstract: A fuse holder for an electrical cartridge fuse (5), has an insulating housing (1") having a mounting recess (4) for the fuse (5) and a pair of contacts (2, 3) in the housing (1") for engaging respective end caps of the fuse (5). The housing (1") includes a pair of slots (6, 7) extending substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis of the mounting recess (4), the contacts (2, 3) being arranged one in each of the slots (6, 7). Each contact (2, 3) has a spring contact tongue (22', 27') which projects inwardly out of the respective slot (6, 7) to engage the associated contact cap on the fuse (5).

  • Patent number: 4404536
Abstract: A fuse comprises a flat carrier panel (2) which carries a fusible conductor (8) interconnecting two electrical contactors (7). A cover (11) is fitted onto the carrier panel (2) by means of integral legs (14) which snap around opposed edge portions (4') of the carrier panel to enclose the fusible conductor (8) within an insulating housing. The contactors (7) extend out of the housing to provide external connections for the fuse.

  • Patent number: 4270836
Abstract: An electrical component holder consists of a socket-like housing (3) formed near its bottom with an opening (2). A foot-contact for engagement by an end cap (6) of an electrical component is formed as a metal tongue (1) having a bent back springy contact arm (5). The foot-contact can be inserted into the housing through the opening (2) in a resiliently compressed state but is subsequently retained within the housing by the position adopted by the contact of (5) under its own resilience.

  • Patent number: 4252288
Abstract: A holder for a fuse or the like of the type which is insertable into a hole in a mounting plate and fastened to the mounting plate comprises an elongate housing dimensioned to be axially inserted in the hole in the mounting plate and having at one end a flange portion which abuts the mounting plate upon full insertion of the housing in the hole. A resiliently deformable sleeve is mounted on the housing adjacent the flange portion and the sleeve has an outer diameter slightly greater than that of the mounting plate hole. During insertion of the housing in the mounting plate hole, the sleeve makes sliding contact with the wall of the hole thereby causing inward deformation of the sleeve to an extent sufficient to cause the sleeve to exert radially outward pressure against the wall of the hole to thereby frictionally fasten the holder to the mounting plate.
