  • Publication number: 20110206946
Abstract: A method for producing a carbon nanotube-, fullerene- and/or graphene-containing coating on a substrate includes the steps of applying carbon nanotubes, fullerenes and/or graphenes onto a tin-containing coating and introducing carbon nanotubes, fullerenes and/or graphenes into the coating by mechanical and/or thermal treatment. A coated substrate produced by this method and the use of the coated substrate as an electromechanical component or lead frame are also described.

  • Patent number: 4287658
Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus for making a heat-insulated structural section assembly for use in window and door frames consisting of at least two structural metal sections transversely connected to each other by at least one heat-insulating bar and including at least one pressure roller which is adapted to apply pressure against a flange on the structural section in order to hold the heat-insulating bar firmly in place. The improvement resides in the provision of oblique, parallel grooves in the peripheral surfaces of said pressure roller, oriented at an acute angle to the direction of rotation of the pressure roller.

  • Patent number: 4245384
Abstract: This invention relates to methods and apparatus for making heat-insulated structural section assemblies for use in window and door frames, and the like. The structural section assemblies consist of two structural metal sections transversely connected to each other by a pair of parallel, heat insulating bars spaced from each other and having longitudinal ends of swallow-tail cross-sectional shape which are successively received between pairs of longitudinally extending opposite grooves each defined by upper and lower flanges of said structural sections, whereby said pair of heat-insulating bars define an enclosed space, these grooves loosely receiving first one of said heat-insulating bars being closed upon said first heat-insulating bar by continuously pressing said upper flanges against said heat-insulating bar.

  • Patent number: 4231207
Abstract: This invention relates to heat-insulated structural section assemblies for use in manufacturing window and door frames. There is disclosed a structural section assembly consisting of two metal structural sections having integral flanges defining opposed longitudinally extending grooves together with the webs of the respective structural metal sections, and transversely connected to each other by a pair of plastic heat-insulating bars, said structural metal sections defining an enclosed air space together with said heat-insulating bars and said flanges being adapted to clamp the ends of said heat-insulating bars within said opposite grooves, those flanges for clamping one heat-insulating bar which are adjacent to said inner space being made longer than the flanges for clamping the other heat-insulating bar, so that when the longer flanges are bent against the one heat-insulating bar a more stronger connection is provided.

  • Patent number: 4219983
Abstract: This invention relates to heat-insulated structural section assemblies for use in window and door frames. There is disclosed a structural section assembly consisting of an inner and an outer structural metal section, connected to each other by at least one plastic heat-insulating bar held in longitudinally extending opposed grooves of said structural metal sections, and at least one leg integral with one of said structural sections and extending generally parallel to the plane defined by the panel of the window or door frame. Said leg extends from the end of a flange partially defining the groove in said one structural section and said groove-defining flange being forced under pressure onto said heat-insulating bar, said groove-defining flange having a thickened portion which extends the entire length of the assembly on its upper surface facing away from said heat-insulating bar so as to prevent the pressure roller from forming notches in the flange or leg.

  • Patent number: 4179911
Abstract: This invention concerns finned tubes for use in heat exchanging whereby the fins have a generally T or Y shape. There is disclosed process and apparatus for making these Y and T-finned tubes whereby a smooth tube is subjected to conventional rolling process with the ends of the fins being subsequently notched into Y-fins and, if desired, subsequently flattened into T-fins. According to other embodiments of the invention the T-fins are constructed by an apparatus including an oblique surface which contacts the conventionally constructed fins causing the fins to be flattened into a general T shape.

Abstract: This invention concerns finned tubes for use in heat exchanging whereby the fins have a generally T or Y shape. There is disclosed process and apparatus for making these Y and T-finned tubes whereby a smooth tube is subjected to a rolling process with notching rollers being arranged between rolling discs. Bending rollers can be used to form Y fins and, if desired these can be subsequently flattened into T-fins.
