  • Patent number: 6533612
Abstract: A connector with improved positioning structure, comprising a casing, a connector unit and a rear unit, the casing using a transverse separating plate to separate a front cover insert hole, allowing the accommodation of two joined universal serial bus USB connector unit in an upper insert hole and a lower insert hole respectively; then a longitudinal separating plate at the center of the transverse separating plate is bent inwardly and pushed closely to a depressed groove on the connector unit, to fasten the casing with the connector unit; since the casing has only insert holes exposed from the connector unit, without using screw holes in conventional models, the entire unit is capable of avoiding such problem of incorrect alignment of screw holes with connector's insert holes as can be found frequently in conventional machining process.

  • Patent number: 6494744
Abstract: A signal wire of a connector includes a housing, a connecting casing, a plug, a soft cable, and a connector. The front side of the plug is installed with two trenches. Terminals are installed in the trenches. The trenches can be inserted by a computer peripheral. The rear side of the plug is connected to the soft cable. The soft cable encloses a plurality of wires. The soft cable and the wires pass out of the round hole of the connecting casing. One end of the wire is secured to the terminal in the trench. Another end of the wire is connected to a connector. The connector can be connected to a circuit board of a computer. The soft cable is bendable so as to avoid that the plug is only inserted to one side of the circuit board. The position of the circuit board can be adjusted conveniently.

  • Patent number: 6450835
Abstract: An improved structure of a metal hood for connector is disclosed, and the hood comprises a top plate portion, side plate portion, bottom plate portion and a rear plate portion. A symmetrical L-shaped extension portion each at the two sides of the rear plate section is externally extended from the corner end of the rear plate portions. In the process of bending formation of the metal hood, the two L-shaped extension portions are exactly formed into vertically downward ground terminals of the metal hood. As the ground terminal of the housing is located at the rear plate portion of the metal hood, the method of feed-strap of plating can be employed in the process of selective plating, hence, avoiding color change of the housing as a result of proximity to a hear source.

  • Patent number: 6346002
Abstract: A connector equipped with snap latching structure includes a body, a latch member, a sleeve member and a socket. The body has a coupling section for engagement with the socket. The latch member is disposed in a recessed section of the coupling section of the body. The sleeve is disposed in the recessed section of the body to cover the latch member. The latch member has a pair of hook arms engageable with the wedge slots formed at the coupling section of the body. When the coupling section of the body engages with the socket, the hook arms latch with the side stubs located at two sides of the socket for preventing the connector from disengaging from the socket.

  • Patent number: 6123555
Abstract: An improvement structure of the female seat of a high frequency connector, wherein two sets of symmetric L shape terminals are inserted to the rear side of a female seat of a connector, each L shape terminals are arranged from outer side to inner side and from larger one to smaller one sequentially; characterized in that the L shape terminals are integrally formed on a protrusion which is extended from the lateral side of a long strip material. According to the aforementioned structure, since each set of L shape terminals with different sizes are arranged integrally on the protrusion in installation. Therefore, the L shape terminals with different sizes are not necessary to be manufactured one by one and it is unnecessary to be secondarily finished for bending. Therefore, it has a simple manufacturing process and the manufacturing cost is reduced for increasing the competition of market.

  • Patent number: 6093062
Abstract: An improved structure of a connector terminal is disclosed. A material belt is punched with a bank of plural female terminals. One end of each female terminal is connected to the material belt, and the end of the female terminal connected to the material belt is punched to be as a slender waist portion. The middle portion of the female terminal is punched to form as a U shape middle portion, and an inserting end is formed on the outermost end of the female terminal. The inserting end has an arc shape cross section so that the gap in the female terminal is reduced. A flat portion is formed between the inserting end and the middle portion. Two sides of the flat portion are formed with reversing teeth so that it can be steadily arranged within a connector. Moreover, since the inserting end of the female terminal is an open arc, thus the whole structure can be plated. As a consequence, the contact area with a male terminal is enlarged, and thus bad contact is avoided.
