Abstract: A device and method for applying a flexible layer to rollers, as used in graphics machines, such as printing presses or coating machines, whose roller bodies consist of a carrying tube (3). A tubular, flexible body (14) is provided which is pushed over a support tube (1) that is axially connected to a transition piece (2) and a carrying tube (3). In the area of the transition piece (2), compressed air is admitted and is discharged at a discharge force, to generate an air cushion (15) between the tubular, flexible body (14) and the carrying tube (3), over which the tubular, flexible body (14) is pushed.

Abstract: A method and device for adhesive rolls for a roll-reversing mechanism of web-processing machines, particularly w-fed [rotary] printing presses. A flexible tube-shaped piece (14) consisting of a soft elastic material is shifted onto a support tube (1), which is axially joined with a transition piece (2) and a tube support (3). In the region of transition piece (2), compressed air, which has been introduced, flows out, to creates an air cushion (15) between the flexible tube-shaped piece (14) and the tube support (3) onto which the flexible tube-shaped piece (14) is shifted.

Abstract: A collecting cylinder for point folders of rotary machines, the circumferential surface of which consists of a number circumferential segments (5), which are next to one another in the direction of the cylinder axis but some distance apart, extend in the circumference in each case groupwise from point holes to point holes and are supported at one of two ends on bearings on eccentric shafts (6) and the radial interval of which can jointly be changed nonpositively. At least one eccentric shaft (6) of each circumferential segment group (5') is supported on bearings in the collecting cylinder so that it can be swung out radially and each eccentric shaft (6) is connected by means of an adjusting lever (10) and a connecting rod (11) with an adjusting disk (12), which is rotatably supported on bearings centrically to the collecting cylinder (1).
