    Abstract: A Conveyorable Plastic Thermoformed Pallet, having a support member and support legs with outer walls, internal walls and inner walls, is utilized to transport product on a conveyor system. The Pallet is made using a twin-sheet thermoforming process that requires two molds for an upper sheet of thermoplastic material and a lower sheet of thermoplastic material. The upper sheet forms a top deck of the support member and the internal walls of the support legs. The lower sheet forms the underside of the support member, the inner walls of the support legs, and leg bottoms. Both sheets are fused to form the twin-sheet outer walls. The upper sheet also forms web strips which stabilize the walls of the support legs and prevent deflection of the walls.

    Abstract: A rack for the transport of thin wall parts such as automotive body panels stampings has a steel frame with two parallel channels positioned on either side of a planar floor member. Each channel has a series of parallel slots which receive tabs extending downwardly from parallel plastic leaves. The leaves are restricted from removal from the rack by rods which extend through the frame beneath the channels and through rod openings in the tabs. The plastic leaves are of two types having side structures which do not nest. Because the leaves are not hinged to the floor member, they will stay in either position due to gravity. The non-nesting leaf side structures permit a plurality of leaves to be flipped from one position to the other simultaneously.

    Abstract: A central steel column serves as a core module for a portable washstand. The column extends upwardly from a horizontal foot, and has foot pumps which communicate with a water intake tube and with water spouts. In addition, the central column has fasteners, such as adjustable bands, for connecting fresh and waste water receptacles to the column. A yoke may have pins which extend into the rims of the receptacles to connect them to the column. The receptacles may be conventional cylindrical drums, which support a molded plastic countertop with washbasins positioned beneath the spouts. For decorative purposes, a molded front panel extends between the countertop and the base, and together with a sheet rear panel encloses the two drums. Paper towel and soap dispensers may be connected to the central column.

The liner is a rigid molded product having a bottom wall and side walls and an open top. A thermosetting resin adhesive is applied to the outer surface of the liner and consists of an epoxy resin system, a solvent for the thermoplastic liner, and a surfactant. Before the adhesive is fully cured, wet flowable concrete is applied to the adhesive layer. The solvent acts to solubilize the outer surface of the plastic liner, while the surfactant reduces the hydrophobic characteristics of the adhesive to provide a firmly bonded composite structure.

    Abstract: A generally rectangular-shaped casket-placer and casket-lowering apparatus for supporting a casket over a grave opening during a graveside service and for lowering the casket into the grave opening, or into the base of a burial vault in the grave opening, for interment after the conclusion of the graveside service includes side rails and end rails. The front or upper end rail is operatively connected to one of the side rails and transmits rotary motion of the one side rail through a shaft and gear mechanism in a combination braking and power transmission head to the armature of a D.C. motor generator which is located at one of the four corners of the apparatus and controls the speed of lowering of the casket by the apparatus. The lowering speed of the casket is controlled by an electrical loading circuit which incorporates a D.C. motor generator having an armature which is operatively connected to rotate with the side rails and the front end rail.

The base and the cover or dome have reinforcing ribs formed on the inner surfaces of the side and end walls thereof.

    Abstract: A combination burial vault and casket and funeral and burial method or system are provided. The burial vault comprises a base which includes a generally rectangular-shaped upright interiorly decorated inner wall structure having a closed bottom and an open top. A "surround" or false casket includes a generally rectangular-shaped box-like frame having handle members attached thereto, and having an open top and an open bottom and an interiorly decorated hinged top or closure member. In use the "surround" or false casket is arranged over and encloses the inner upright wall structure and bottom wall or supporting platform of the base and is releasably latched thereto at the funeral home with the remains of the deceased arranged in the casket assembly provided by the inner upright wall structure and its bottom wall or supporting platform and the "surround" or false casket enclosing the same.

    Abstract: A combination burial vault and casket and funeral and burial method or system using the same in a funeral and burial service. An interiorly decorated "surround" or false casket frame having a hinged top is disposed over the base of the vault and cooperates with the interiorly decorated base of the burial vault to provide a casket during visitation at the funeral home. Carrying handle structures are provided for carrying either the assembled base and the surround or false casket or the assembled base and cover of the vault, with the remains of the deceased therein, to the cemetary after the visitation and funeral services at the funeral home.In one practice of the invention, when the base and cover of the vault are assembled at the close of services at the funeral home, the surround or false casket with the carrying handle structures thereon is retained at the funeral home for reuse.
