    Abstract: An attachment for fishing rods for the slingshot casting of the fishing line. The attachment is clamped to the fishing rod and extends forwardly with pivoted spring arms. When these are swung back to vertical position they become fixed; and the elastic sling extends rearwardly from the same. The arms are also swingable downwardly to lock as props for supporting the fishing rod on the ground or on the deck of a boat.
