Abstract: The invention concerns a toothed-belt drive consisting of a toothed belt and a spur-gear meshing with its teeth, the transmission of force between belt and spur-gear taking place by the abutting faces of the teeth of the particular part of the belt drive, and is designed in such a way that the substantial shearing and abrading forces occurring at high force transmissions can be absorbed without premature damage to the toothed belt.
