    Abstract: A spray dispenser includes an outer body, a product bag containing a liquid product disposed in the outer body, and a valve disposed at an upper end of the outer body. An elastic energy-storing member is disposed below the bag, and an energizing member is disposed below the energy-storing member for compressing the latter. The energizing member is raised by rotation of a threaded post which extends through the energizing member in threaded connection therewith. The post comprises a plurality of screws telescopingly arranged to define separate stages of operation, whereby the screws move from a retracted relationship to an extended relationship as the energizing member moves upwardly.

    Abstract: A dispenser comprises a housing, a product-containing bag disposed within the housing, and a valve for discharging product from the bag. An energy-storing member, in the form of a gas-filled bellows, or a cellular foam element, is disposed beneath the product-containing bag and is raisable thereagainst to pressurize the product within the bag. An overload preventing mechanism prevents energy-storing member from being excessively compressed. The valve and product-containing bag are removable as a unit from the housing to enable an identical refill unit to be installed.

    Abstract: A dispenser comprises a container, a product-containing bag disposed within the container, and a valve for discharging product from the bag. A piston is disposed beneath the bag and is raisable by a manually rotatable post which is threadedly connected to a central through-hole of the piston. A closed-cell foam element is disposed between the piston and the bag and is elastically compressed when the piston is raised, in order to store energy and pressurize the contents of the bag. A stiff disc is disposed between the foam element and the bag and includes a central through-hole. The threaded post extends upwardly through the piston, the foam element, and the disc, and terminates within a downwardly open cavity formed in the bag. The valve and bag are connected to the container to be removed therefrom as a unit and replaced by a similar refill unit.

    Abstract: A spray dispenser comprises a container in which a product-containing bellows is situated above an energy storing bellows. A piston is disposed within the container below the energy storing bellows. A sleeve surrounds the container and is threadedly connected with the piston whereby rotation of the sleeve relative to the container causes the piston to rise and compress the energy storing bellows. The energy storing bellows thus pressurizes the product-containing bellows to expel the product when the valve is opened. The outer diameter of the bellows is of progressively reduced diameter to enable the bellows segments to become more snugly nested within one another when collapsing.

    Abstract: A spray dispenser includes a manually actuable discharge valve at a longitudinal end thereof. The dispenser dispenses a product carried by a flexible bag. A body encompasses the bag to form a gas-containing space therebetween. The body is formed of a stiffer material than the bag. The dispenser includes a manual actuator which enables a user to collapse the body in order to compress the gas disposed within the space. The collapsed gas stores energy capable of pressurizing the bag and the product contained therein. Upon actuation of the valve, the pressurized product is expelled. When the gas energy is dissipated, the body is further collapsed to generate and store additional energy.
