    Abstract: A restraining device for wheelchairs is disclosed consisting of a plurality of restraining bars for removable attachment to conventional wheelchairs, and designed to prevent an occupant of the wheelchair from moving himself or herself therefrom, or from moving his or her legs and body forwardly in the chair to an undue extent, while allowing sufficient freedom of movement to make the occupant comfortable. The restraining bars are adjustable, both singly and in unison, to various positions in relation to the wheelchair and occupant.
