Patents Assigned to Willy Vogel AG
  • Patent number: 9358675
Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic lubricating pump (1) for a machine having a hydraulically actuated striking tool (4), such as a hydraulic hammer for example. The lubricating pump (1) is designed such that it can be connected to a pressure line (P) of the hydraulic circuit (2). The lubricating pump (1) has a drive piston (8), designed such that it can be driven by the hydraulic circuit, and a feed piston, connected to the drive piston in a motion-transmitting manner, of a feed pump (9), by means of which lubricant is fed to a lubricating point. The service life of the lubricating pump can be prolonged compared with conventional pumps if the drive piston (8) is designed to be double-acting with two drive chambers (8c, 8d) and a hydraulically operable changeover member (16) is provided which can be engaged in the hydraulic circuit and by means of which the drive chambers (8c, 8d) can be alternately and automatically connected to the pressure line (8) during operation.

  • Patent number: 8506268
Abstract: A method and a lubricant dosing pump for accurately dosing the small lubricant quantities. It is provided that at least two pistons are moved from an initial position relative to one another, thereby enlarging a dosing volume situated between them, and that thereby lubricant is conveyed through an inlet into the closing volume. Subsequently, the inlet is sealed and the two pistons situated opposite to each other in the stroke direction are moved together with the dosing volume until in a discharge position the dosing volume is connected with a discharge opening spaced apart from the inlet in the stroke direction. Then, the pistons are moved relative to each other, thereby reducing the dosing volume, and convey a predetermined dosing quantity of the lubricant through the discharge opening. Finally, the pistons are moved back into their initial positions.

  • Patent number: 7475604
Abstract: A method is disclosed for monitoring an oil and gas lubricating device, with which an oil film, while forming striae, can be conveyed by an airflow along a wall of a supply line to a lubrication point, in which the temporal change in the striae is detected by a striae sensor, and a striae signal that is representative of the temporal change in the striae is generated. In order to further develop known methods for monitoring an oil and gas lubricating device, thereby preventing faults during the evaluation of the striae signal, the striae signal is smoothened by calculating an average value of the striae signal over a predetermined averaging interval.

  • Publication number: 20080078238
Abstract: The invention relates to a test method and a test device for the determination of an oil separation tendency of lubricating greases under pressure load. In the method, a predetermined test pressure is applied to a test volume (2) filled with lubricating grease (27) over a predetermined test period (32), the lubricating grease (27) of the test volume (2) is contacted with an oil absorption or oil separation element (11), and the change of the test volume (2) is detected on the basis of an absorption or separation of oil (29) separated from the lubricating grease (27) by the oil absorption or oil separation element (11) at the end of the test period (32). To be able to estimate the oil separation tendency of lubricating grease more exactly, in the method according to the invention, the time history of the change of the test volume (2) representative of the oil separation is detected over the test period (32).

  • Patent number: 6565315
Abstract: A rotation device including first and second passages and a rotor shaft with a rotor which connects onto the first passage with a third passage which branches into rotor channels from the third to a fourth passage. The end zones of the third and fourth passages extend axially. The rotation device has a stator including a first central body with an outer surface which co-bounds a passage space with stator blades which have on one end zone forming a fifth passage a direction differing from the axial direction and on another end zone forming a sixth passage a direction differing little from the axial direction. The fifth passage connects onto the fourth passage and the sixth passage connects onto the second passage. The stator includes a second central body where between the sixth passage and the second passage extend manifold channels bounded by the second central body and the housing.

  • Patent number: 5188197
Abstract: In a central-lubrication assembly for vehicles, with a lubricant reservoir, with a lubricant pump connected on the inlet side to the lubricant reservoir and on the outlet side to at least one lubricant distributor, there is used for the pressure relief of the lubricant distributor and for limiting the pressure built up by the lubricant pump a combined pressure-relief and pressure-limiting valve (6) which is equipped with a piston (9) displaceable counter to the effect of a return spring (8) in a bore (7) of a housing (5). The piston (9) can assume three different working positions, in a first position the pressure relief being obtained, and in a third position pressure limitation in the system being ensured.

  • Patent number: 4556766
Abstract: In a device for controlling the function of central lubrication installations with two electrically conducting components (8, 9) integrated into a signal circuit, a contact piston (18) provides the electrical contact between these components (8, 9). The contact piston (18) is guided with zero play in a bore (17) of one of the components (8, 9). It has a sealing section (19) which, in the working position of the device, is bypassed by two side ducts (24, 26) and a connected duct (25). One (24) of the connecting ducts (24, 26) emerges at a position in the bore (17) serving to guide the contact piston (18), which position is sufficiently far removed from the outlet opening of a flow duct (22) that lubricant can only flow through the device when a comparatively large distance has been established between one component (9) and the contact piston (18).
