    Abstract: A miniaturized electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit designed for millimeter wave electrical elements, wherein the ESD protection circuit is fabricated on a multilayer substrate. The ESD protection circuit comprises a metal line being connected at one end to a ground and at other end to a connective strip, wherein a length of the metal line is a maximum length that achieves a resistance value defined for the ESD protection circuit and a width of the metal line is set to a maximum width allowed for the multilayer substrate, wherein the metal line introduces a inductance value into the ESD protection circuit; and a capacitor being connected in parallel to the metal line and having a capacitance value resonating the metal line at an operating frequency band, thereby the ESD protection circuit shunts ESD pulses to the ground and passes signals at the operating frequency band.

    Abstract: A method for accelerating execution of read operations in a distributed interconnect peripheral bus, the distributed interconnect peripheral bus is coupled to a host controller being connected to a universal serial bus (USB) device. The method comprises synchronizing on at least one ring assigned to the USB device; pre-fetching transfer request blocks (TRBs) maintained in the at least one ring, wherein the TRBs are saved in a host memory; saving the pre-fetched TRBs in an internal cache memory; upon reception of a TRB read request from the host controller, serving the request by transferring the requested TRB from the internal cache memory to the host controller; and sending a TRB read completion message to the host controller.

The low latency interconnect bus protocol is a layered protocol containing a Wireless Medium Access Control (WMAC) layer for constructing a WMAC frame from the data, and a Wireless Physical (WPHY) layer for constructing a WPHY frame from the WMAC frame. The WMAC frame includes an aggregation of a plurality of MAC Service Data Units (MSDUs), and is capable of providing a reliable link by implementing an implied ACK and a block ACK. The WPHY frame is configured to provide a mechanism for a bi-directional communication between components; and the content of the WPHY frame is determined according to a communication state between two communicating components.

    Abstract: A method for beamforming in a wireless local area network (WLAN), the method is performed by a receiver wireless station. The method comprises receiving a frame transmitted by a transmitter wireless station over a wireless medium; analyzing a physical (PHY) header of the received frame to determine if a Short Interframe Space (SIFS) response is required; when a SIFS response is required, performing: constructing a response frame including a PHY header, wherein the PHY header includes at least a measured link quality field; inserting a measured signal quality in the measured link quality field; waiting a time equal to a SIFS period; and sending the response frame to the transmitter wireless station after the SIFS period has elapsed, wherein based on received measured values included in response frames the transmitter wireless station predicts a loss link to initiate a beamforming training, thereby reducing the beamforming time.
