    Abstract: A polymeric glove is made by a process wherein a glove form is dipped into a first bath containing a solvent and a first polymer, which when solidified has a first property, and the first polymer is solidified, wherein the glove form, on which the first polymer has solidified, is dipped into a second bath containing a solvent and a second polymer, which when solidified has a second property differing from the first property, and the second polymer is solidified, and wherein what results is stripped from the glove form, so as to invert what results. The polymeric glove has an outer layer having the first property, an inner layer having the second property, and an intermediate, transitional layer. The first property may be a comparatively higher coefficient of friction of an outer surface, which is defined by the outer layer, or may be a comparatively lower stiffness or a comparatively greater elasticity.

    Abstract: In a process to clean a polyurethane glove, which has been cured on a glove form, so as to remove non-volatile residues and low-volatility residues from the glove before the glove is removed from the form, the form bearing the glove is immersed in a quiescent or agitated bath consisting essentially of a solvent selected from isopropyl alcohol, hexane, and blends of isopropyl and hexane, preferably isopropyl alcohol, at an elevated temperature of approximately 60° C., for a predetermined time not less than approximately five minutes, preferably for a predetermined time of approximately ten to twenty minutes, whereupon the form bearing the glove is withdrawn from the bath and the glove is allowed to be air-dried on the form.

    Abstract: A novel method and a novel article are disclosed for cleaning a metal, glass, or plastic surface without scratching or scoring the surface. The novel method comprises wiping the surface with the novel article, which is made from an open cell, hydrophilic, static-dissipative, polyurethane foam, and which is laundered so that the article in deionized water releases fewer than 36.0.times.10.sup.6 per square meter of apparent surface area of the article for particles of a size greater than about 0.5 .mu.m and fewer than about 2.5 parts per million of chloride, fluoride, sodium, sulfate, sulfite, or silicon ions. The novel article may be a wiper, a sponge, a roller, a swab mounted on a handle, or a plug having a generally cylindrical shape when unstressed and having particular utility where the surface is the interior surface of a metal, glass, or plastic tube. The plug is propelled through the tube, as by means of compressed air. The novel method also may comprise washing the surface with deionized water.

    Abstract: A wound dressing delivery system is disclosed that includes a film which is to be applied to a patient's wound; a protective cover, which is adjacent to the film; an adhesive layer on one surface of the film; a tab located to one end of the adhesive layer; a release liner covering the adhesive layer and tab; and a tape which is used to connect the release liner with the protective cover. Additionally, a method of manufacturing a wound dressing delivery system is disclosed. The method of manufacturing includes the steps of casting a film onto a protective cover, coating the film with an adhesive layer, placing a tab on one end of the adhesive layer, placing a release liner over the adhesive layer, and connecting the release liner and the protective cover with a tape.
